Passholder room reservation question

We are checking into ASSp late tonight. We just renewed our annual passes on line but have not gone to guest services yet to pick them up. Our room is booked with the passgolder discount.
My question is if I've done an online check in, do we have to go pick up our passes before we can go to our room? Our passes are linked to our magic band. We will not be getting into Orlando until around 11:00 tonight and I'm not sure we have time to get to guest services before we check in.

You will be fine. If they do ask, as I have read in this forum numerous times, that you have up to 24 hours to prove that you have an AP.

We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge last month on a passholder reservation and they never asked for proof of my AP. We had renewed ours but had not yet activated them. I had my paper receipts that I received via email with me, just in case. They did, however, scan my magic band at check-in, so I don't know if that told them that I had an AP linked.

We went and activated our AP's after we checked in.

My first time with AP I had not activated it on check in and had no problems, they didn't even ask and since then I can't remember a time that they have asked. Your AP is linked on MDE so I'm guessing they can see you have one. I'm renewing mine and it won't be activated until after I check in this year but it is showing linked on MDE.

Unfortunately - yes - you have to go to Guest Services to activate them. They want to see your photo ID. It is a real bother to have to do this, too, especially when Guest Services lines are long and you are anxious to get to a park.
