Passed ROFR!!!!

Just had to share the good news... Maggie contacted me today and told us that 15 days into it, we passed our ROFR!!!! We have an OKW contract with 210 points, 134 points were set in reserved status and 90 were borrowed from 2005. Sold it for $68/point and the seller agreed to pay the 2004 maintenance since I am not entirely sure I can use those points this year (but will try for an upcoming DL trip or even December WDW trip).

I am thrilled!!!!! What wonderful news so close to a quickie trip to the World

What are the reserved points? Are those the same as holding?
Or are they for Disney Resort stays only? Just wondering.

From what I understand, these are points that the seller has used to make a reservation outside of the DVC properties, then canceled that reservation later on. The points can now only be used for all except the DVC Resorts and the World Passport Collection and they have to be used with in the use year they are for and I can't bank, borrow or transfer the points. I was okay with that since I have some trips coming up that I can try to use these for, but for those wanting DVC only it kind of stinks.

Thanks for the explanation. I rented points from someone last year to stay at the Poly. They had just bought a contract with reservation points that they couldn't use. You're right.......they couldn't be transferred to my account.
