Passed ROFR today on VWL contract!!

My initial post was deleted due to "technical difficulties" so I wanted to post again to provide the specifics of the sale to those who asked for it!

Contract is at VWL - September UY
>> All 370 points from 2003 banked
>> All 370 points for 2004 available 9/1
>> Paid $71.90 per point, maintenance fees for 2004, and closing costs.

The sellers were from South America and used an Orlando Re/Max relator to sell their contract. The relator, in turn, sold the contract through an e-Bay auction (which is how we ended up with the funky $71.90 price). We placed our one & only bid about 10 seconds before the auction ended!

I think our passing ROFR shows that Disney has no cut & dried "rules" for what passes ROFR and what doesn't!

Thanks to all of you who responded to my initial e-mail. Good luck to those of you who are currently waiting on ROFR -- hope all of you pass soon! Keep us posted...

Thanks for posting your specs for us all. Your contract sounds almost like the one we're waiting ROFR on now. It gives us hope. Disney's had it 1 1/2 weeks but it took them 3 weeks on yours!

I thought we received a good deal yesterday, but WOW, less than 72 per point at VWL is great. I'm a little worried about mine though. My deal may be too good, if you know what I mean.

kaw1106, the contract was submitted to Disney on 7/30 so it took about 2 1/2 LONG LONG weeks (which I know is pretty typical but it just seemed a lot longer since a number of contracts have not been passing ROFR the last few weeks!! BTW, I got the PM you sent.
