I] was just wondering about this book? Is it worth the money? Is there alot more in the book that i don't already learn from this wonderful site? Is there tips in the book on stuff i don't want to miss? I been reading alot went on a cruise 3 years ago now reading about all the stuff we missed on the cruise. I don't want that to happen again. Also does disney send a book with all the excursions that we could choose from? Or is there somewhere i could get that information? Thanks to all!!!

I would get the book. It is not that expensive, and the info is great and all in one place. You can take it with you, make notes, even a map of the ship. I think the new edition just went to print recently. I would definitely buy it.

This is a WONDERFUL book! I loved it! I am waiting for the newest edition to be shipped the first week or so in May. :sunny:

I also vote for you to get the book. I brought Birnbaum's first. Pretty pictures, not as much info. Been reading these boards for months, before I bought the book and still think the Passporter is a very worth while investment. I haven't gone on the cruise yet, but there were lots of things in the Passporter I didn't know, and if you a compulsive overplanner :teeth: it is a must have. Everything is together and it will give you something to read while waiting at the airport and a reference in your stateroom.

Passporter is definately worth the money. It covers everything. Wait a few weeks until the new updated guide comes out. It also covers all the shore excursions and they rate them also.

Another thumbs up vote....I really like their books and have used both the WDW and DCL one. I've read them all and like theirs the best........

You will find as much here - maybe more and often more current, but we won't be here while you are waiting in the terminal saying "oh, dear.....what was I supposed to do first." Or arriving at the elevators with "which deck was Parrot Cay on again?"

The thing I like about my Passporters is how easy they make it to dream about the upcoming trip and relive the last trip. Worth every penny there.

I would definitely get the book. The info is much of what you see here but the sections on excursions have ratings from past cruiseres. The convenience of having everything at your fingertips is worth the $. :smooth:

...the Passporter.

I'm not sure there is any information that you can't get on the DIS boards in it, but it is all in one place. It is extremely thorough. I am really impressed by it. I really enjoyed reading it.

I would highly recommend it.

Another vote here. We have already pre-ordered the 3rd additional an am "patiently" waiting for it to arrive! :rolleyes1

I too await shipment of the new edition - can't wait. I know the authors post printable updates on their website for the WDW book. Do they do the same for the DCL passporter books?

I downloaded some updated pages on DCL from their website a couple of weeks ago for the 2nd edition.

I love my book. Bought the Deluxe edition with the binder and pen and believe it will be really handy onboard. :cool1:

When can you get the new edition? :earsgirl:
Anticipated ship date direct from Passporter's site, mid May. Will be in stores sometime after that date.

Yet another vote in favor of the DCL Passporter! We've got the new edition (Deluxe version) on order and counting the days till it's supposed to be shipping. Both the WDW and DCL Passporters are worth the money, IMHO.

Yep, I'm a Passporter fan too. Kinda hard to put "post its" on the DisBoard and refer to them on the plane :rotfl2:

I liked having the details about the ports and the reviews of the excursions.

Although we don't have little kids, I liked the "Allie's choices" where their 11-12 year old rates the activities. I think that's in the DCL Passporter as well as the WDW one.

We took our Passporters for DCL and WDW on our trip last year and used both of them lots....and I had DD the CM as a personal "cruise director" on our trip.
