Pass expire? & renew?

Sorry if this has been asked, but didn't find it.

My pass is due to expire in end of march, if I make a ressie before it expires and then it expires but I wait and instead of renewing just buy a new pass for the "new" date does your ressie get cancelled? Can you still pull up your ressie online on the passholder site? You can still get on the passholder site with voucher? I realize this is only going to happen IF disney comes out early with my vacation dates and it falls a certain way. I really did not want to renew and waste a few months of days before we can even go.

I made a best rate reservation in April 2005 for our October trip using my annual pass which expired in July. I then let my pass expire. I never tried to use the annual pass holders section of the WDW website to check my reservation but I did check it on the regular website. I also made ADRs for our trip. I waited until after my annual pass had been expired for around a month then purchased a voucher for a new one. When we arrived at WDW in October we activated our new passes which will not expire until October of 2006. If we had just renewed our passes they would have expired in July 2006 and we would have wasted several months. I did ask a CM to be sure our reservations would not be canceled and she agreed with me it would work out OK, which it did. By the way, when we checked in at our resort they didn't even ask for my annual pass!

LucyAnna girl, Thanks so much for the help. That is how we always did it before let it expire and make the ressie and pick it up again before the trip. I just worried the computer would catch it and then drop the ressie. I would hate to waste from march to august without even using the pass so we would keep up our pass. Thanks, Mky
