Tonight was my last night here & I decided to cap it off with the dessert party. I didn't care that it was cold and my daughter & I were slowly unraveling.

I DID care that was not able to see a single firework because it was so overcast. I saw colorful clouds. I feel like an idiot saying this but I actually teared up because I absolutely adore wishes.

Would it be wrong to ask for my $ back? I know there were thousands of other disappointed folk in the park, but they also didn't pay for an uncrowded spot.

I could be wrong about this, but I think it's called the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party, rather than the Wishes Dessert Party because you still pay whether the fireworks go off or not. I can't remember where I heard that, but I did somewher

Wow, I came in from a fundraiser at a bar last night and made the above comment (since edited), and spelled dessert wrong...twice! I'm a light weight...two beers, and I forget how to spell.

Thanks for the info. I figured since we ate for 30 min they'd still have reason to charge me.

You're paying for the dessert party, not the fireworks. I think it would be unreasonable to ask for your money back.

In the fine print it actually states that fireworks are not guaranteed.

That sucks that you didn't get to see them. We did the dessert party last week when we were there and while the desserts were okay, I certainly would have been ticked to pay that much money for so-so quality desserts. I thought it was overall great only because of the low crowd and the view of the fireworks.

I feel your pain though. Later in our trip we did the pirate and pals fireworks voyage and that was a huge disappointment for the same reason- fog made it almost impossible to see any of the fireworks. that sucked.

One of the girls behind me was super concerned and said "something's wrong!!" I had to explain to her that no, it was just yucky out. Seeing tinker bell was awesome & my daughter loved the desserts. Next time I'll make sure to cancel when the weather is miserable.

The dessert party has a different cancellation policy now, if I remember correctly. When we booked over the phone I'm 99% sure she told me we would be refunded if we cancelled more than 72 hours in advance. After that, no refunds. Probably due to them having empty parties after last-minute weather cancellations.

I have kind of a Pollyanna view when it comes to Disney. I would ask them. Disney wants their guests to have a good time. And if it was that important to you to see the fireworks, then at least contact Disney and tell them.

The worse they can do is say no.

Good Luck.
