We are having a rather sudden trip to Disney the end of the month. When I made food reservations we had to have 2 tables for our party of 7. The CM said they would do their best to seat us close together as we are all on the same reservations. Has anyone else had any experience with this - did they try to sit you close together?

I have not had this experience but want to make sure you get an answer from those who have had a large party split in two......

Anyone???

We always have a party of seven when we go to WDW. When I make ADR they always say they have to split us but it actually never happens when we get there. Never!

Well, when I was eating at the Grand Floridian, I saw a huge party of the Red Hat Ladies sitting at the tables. They had long tables so they were able to sit about 10-15 people at one table.

To answer your question, they may have "longer" tables that seat more than 4-5-6 people.

We had a party of eleven for one trip. I made ADRs at the 90 day mark (when that was the limit) and still had to be split into two tables at some restuarants. At chef mickey's they said we would have to be split into two tables and we got one instead. They said we had one table at CRT for the first lunch seating of the day, but we had two tables next to each other instead. At Ohana, Rainforest, and Whispering Canyon we had adrs for one table of 11 and thats what we got. At Rose and Crown we had adrs for two tables and that is what we got there, even after waiting an hour and a half hoping for outside tables and being seated inside.

We traveled as a party of seven this past Nov and yes there were some places witht he CM had to officailly book us as two tables but once we got to the restruant there were no issues with us being all seated together. They note on the ADR that the two tables should be together and then it is up to the restruant to figure out how to make it work. We had no issues. Go and enjoy.

I've had to do this several times with larger parties. Once, we had three tables for four but they pushed all three together to make one long table. Another time, we had two tables side by side but one of the sides was a long bench so we actually all ate together. They do sit you together so don't worry about it.

We went as a party of 9 2 years ago and we were never split into 2 tables. They were always very accomodating...sometimes we had to wait for a little while, but always had tables pushed together or had the large tables for our group. Garden Grill, Chef Mickeys, Rainforest, 50's Prime Time, they all made room for us!!!
