Party of 9... FP... WWYD?

We have a party of 9 for an upcoming trip. WWYD for fast passes when the reservation window opens?

Try to make them for 9? Or have each family make their own, hoping for around the same time?

We go with a party of 11 every year and I make them for all, that way we all have same times etc. As long as you're on at your 60 day Mark you should be fine getting what you want, with possibly the exception of Navi.

This has been my same question. We are a party of 10 and I’m not sure what to do yet.

I made Fp for our party of 14 over Xmas and new year last year. I was able to make them altogether at the 60 day mark except for FOP and SDMT. For those 2 rides I ended up splitting the group into 2s, 3s and 4s with over lapping times but even that was quite easy

They all have their own MDE accounts but we are all linked via the friends and family option.

Try for the whole group together first - if you’re not super picky on times, you’ll likely get most of them. If you can’t, or if you need a very specific time, break them into smaller groups/overlapping and try to work them to the same time slot.

(I did 13 for August and we had very few problems, although we chunked up several of them since we wanted specific times.)

I have everyone linked to my MDE so I can book the fast passes for the group. We have had up to 9 and I found it is just easier to book everyone at once for the big rides and then if they want to change them they are more than welcome to. Once in a while I might have to split a group if I can't find the ride for the time I would like but can find it by splitting it up into 2 times that overlap and then we go then.

You could probably book all of them together for most rides, just maybe not for FOP, 7DMT, FEA, and Toy Story.

First you need to know everyones wants for rides. It helps to have a group meeting so that everyone (older kids included too) is on the same page with plans and expectations. Such as my boys (12 yo) really didn't care to do Frozen but have to do Test track. I'm not sure your group make up but not everyone is going to want to all do the same thing for the whole trip.

To answer your question -it is easier for one person to make the groups FP. It is easy to go in and select which person is going to rides 7DMT and get the same FP time for everyone. Definitely go in and get your hard to get rides first - which is usually 7DMT, Frozen and FOP or Navi. Then just go about booking everything else

If you all plan to ride together, go ahead and book together. The times fill up gradually, so you'll be fine with a big group.

Breaking your group up into smaller groups is necessary when looking for 4th FP, but during the initial booking at 60 days, you shouldn't have trouble booking for everyone at once.

Just made a party of 8 FP for spring break a month ago with no problems. Even FOP.

I just made our FP choices this morning for a party of 8. No problems getting everyone at the same times (didn't have to split up anything). We got FOP, 7DMT, and Frozen with no problems.

Made all 14 of us the morning of our 60 day window, we are all adults tho...got what we wanted...that was May 2017....just did 6 of us for March 2018 trip....i even got FOP which i guess is considered a cue...

Can I ask a really dumb question. This is the first time we are traveling as a party of 8. I have everyone on my app. I am the only one with the app. Does everyone need to get the app after I make the initial 3 FP? So when we go our own way after dinner they can book their own FPs?

I would say yes, unless you plan on giving them your account info. My group is divided into three MDE accounts. I made all of the Original FP's but I'm letting everyone else take care of their own extra FPs. This lady needs her afternoon naps.

I recently did it for my group of 12. Went for FOP fist and it literally had fast passes for minutes before they were gone. Ended up getting 3 groups of 4 with my sisters grabbing their families. I was then easily able to get the group of 12 all the fast passes together for the rest for the week later that day. This was right at 60 days and FOP was 60+2.

We book usually for 10-12 people. 4 of those people are me, DH and our 2 kids. I book initial FP for everyone but it is very easy because everyone else pretty much goes along with what we are going to do. We have 2 little kids and the trips are very focused on them. Most of the time I schedule what we are going to do and they adjust some FP on their own if they want to change it.

It all depends on how flexible your party is and what they want to do. Most of our large party follows my toddlers around the parks so it is very easy. Also, no one else wants to take the reins and make any initial decisions
