I'm not quite sure I understand your question You aren't charged 18% tip on the dining plan, an 18% gratuity is included on the plan. The only time you are charged that gratuity is if you buy additional food not on the plan, or things like alcoholic drinks. For those you get a separate bill, and the 18% tip just for those items is charged on that bill. You can always add more to the tip if you wish. Hope that helps!

i'm sorry i probably worded this wrong....

I was making my adr's and since i have a group of 8 people i thought the cm told me since i was on the dining plan and it does cover the 18% tip, however there is an additional tip (charge) because we have a party of 8 or more.
I was so excited and forgot to question her about the tip $$ because I did get some of my adr's that i wanted.

For what I understand, it won't be an "extra" 18%. I just booked my ADRs yesterday, and I had a booking for 9 people. The CM first told me that the 18% would automatically be included on my bill, but when I told her that we were on the DDP, she said that I don't have to worry about that. The 18% is already is included anyways. Hope this helps!

No additional charge. Believe me, I've eaten at WDW enough with large groups. What the CM means is that the bill automatically has the gratuity added in when the party is 8 or more. However, if you're on the DDP it doesn't really matter. However, if you pay OOP any place and you are a table of 8, your 18% tip will be automatically added to your bill.
