Party of 8 at Sci Fi -- can we still get cars?

We've only been to Sci Fi once before, it was as a party of 4.

For September, we have a reservation at Sci Fi for a party of 8. When we made our ADR, we were told that we'd be given 2 tables -- will we still be given car tables? This is the appeal of this restaurant for us.

Hi,

We just ate at the Sci-fi last week and we were a party of 8 - we were seated at 2 cars - 6 in one car and 2 in another car. I felt bad for the 2 who sat "by themselves". I would ask if they could split the party up 4 and 4. Also, when you check in make sure you mention that you want to be seated in cars - there are some tables at the sci-fi and I would have been disappointed if we had been seated at them. We had a party of 14 this past December and were seated in cars. I believe they seat those with ADRs in the cars. The tables are for walk-ups and those who specially request a table.

Definitely, the cars have 3 rows. Each row can fit 2 adults (or 2 adults and an extra small child!).

while i've heard that walkups get tables thing before, currently no disney restaurant to my knowledge reserves spaces for walkups. i'm not aware of any scenario where if someone did do a walkup at scifi and were directed to a table that they couldnt have waited for a car. as it was, i got a walkup in march and got a car.
