Party of 7

I have a few questions regarding our party size. Since we are a party of 7 some of our ADR's have mentioned that we may be split up. Has anyone had this actually happen? Second since a majority of our reservations are buffet will the automatic gratuity be calculated on the total cost? Or do they alter it some considering we are getting our own food? I am not trying to sound cheap but how I was brought up servers in charge of handling an entire meal tend to get a larger tip than those just in charge of checking our drinks 2-3 times.

The "your party may be seated at different tables" message is a standard one. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's there in case they have to, but it doesn't happen often at all. (And heck, I've seen it when I booked for 1 before... though I have a feeling that was just a random glitch, at least I hope so! ).

As for the other question, see the tipping thread on the restaurant board. It should answer your question. If not, ask that piece again there. I'm sure Tricia, Nala, or Pumba will be along with their copy and paste (I just typed pasta....) of the reasoning for this part.
