Party of 42!

Just realize that if people want to sit where you are trying to "save" seats, they have the right to sit there. You can't really expect to hold 42 seats for an extended period of time (more then like 10-15 minutes at most I would say). No matter where you are or how busy (or not) the place is. If someone wants to sit where you are "holding"... then you will need to allow that.

Of course... just trying to find the most likely place and time where 40 can sit together. I would never tell another guest they can't sit somewhere if we don't have the people there filling them. And it really isn't a biggie if we aren't right on top of each other. I'm getting a headache just thinking about it all. I think we will mobile order for sure. That way we can go right to a seating area at the same time.

I'll have to look. It's a FULL floor above? Never seen it or heard anyone talk about it.

Yes there is a hallway to Tortuga downstairs and it's actually a ramp because Tortuga is about 2.5-3 feet higher in elevation. One of their rooms (sitting slightly higher) looks through windows to a Pecos dining room. They have several very nice dining rooms, outdoor dining most of which is covered, patio, bathrooms etc ... all part of Tortuga.

I seem to remember bathrooms to the right of ordering. Well I am perplexed and curious now.

So I may have been in Tortuga!!! Haha. I remember going up a ramp. I don't think Tortuga was open (never is Labor Day week) but guess their seating stays open?

Why not call Disney and query be our guest availability-late lunch classed as dinner?!
Dinner deffo not $15 or under..

My other thought-in dhs-50's PT
Childrens meals are rather large (imho) or is sharing an option or apps for main course?

Yes their seating is always open, we love to picnic there. They have outdoor, covered and not, a patio, several rooms with different decor, one room is very colonial. So you aren't really upstairs, just next door but about 2-3 feet higher. Like a hidden gem, great imagineering, often quiet and great spot to sit, rest, A/C, bathrooms...

This is Pecos but through those openings with iron is Tortuga.
The ramp is to the right of this room.
And yes you go right then turn left up the ramp.

These are ALL TORTUGA, lots of seating, great when it's closed!

I would call Disney dining directly. They might be able to work something out for you.

1) Yup, at least they can try.
2) However, how could 42 people eat together?
3) Better to eat in separate groups.
4) Yes, I know this is probably cheerleaders, or teams, or something like that.

Bingo... daughters first year on a cheer squad and we are going to Disney. I'm a Disney vet but first time traveling with a cheer team. The cheer coach does a team dinner. Last year she somehow convinced Wolfgang puck express into reserving an area for themby calling a few days ahead. So I'm trying my to figure out a way to do the team dinner in a park. team fundraising pays for this One meal so that's why the $15 budget.

I wonder how the Brazil tour groups do it?? They tour with at least 42 people in one group..

I don't think they are trying to have 42 of them at tables all together. They just need to stay in the same restaurant so the tables can be scattered throughout.

That is correct. Not expecting to pull 42 seats together - that would distrupt traffic flow if even possible, etc. Just in the same general area. Maybe 4 10 tops. The more I think about it I think Pizzo Rizzo at HS will be best option. I haven't been up stairs yet but seems huge. And I think they do mobile ordering. I think that will be key too. The squad is 19 but this is the only meal that parents/cheeleaders/coaches will eat together. The rest we are on our own which I'm thankful for (and I know the other Disney guests will be thankful for :rolleyes1)

No I knew what you were doing, I was answering about the BTG kids ... they don't have to sit close to each other, they might be spread all throughout a restaurant, they just all go to same one at same time.

PizzeRizzo - It really is huge and I've been several times since it opened, even last spring break, and no room is packed, upstairs empty. I really would be shocked if it doesn't work out well for you. We have actually been only one of two groups in the party room.

Yes, they have mobile ordering.

What about eating say at 3:30 at Columbia Harbor House and taking your food upstairs. There may be some other people upstairs, but there is a much better chance of getting everyone seated upstairs than down.

Just had a great conversation with a manager at Splitsville. Looks like this may be our solution! Waiting on info to be emailed to me. They have had a few cheer groups call but she said I'm on the early end. So we will do this or PizzeRizzo at HS.

You're best bet might be to eat at one of the off site restaurants or at a resort restaurant. You might be able to obtain that many seats at the Pepper Mill (?) at Coronado Resort.

I think you could eat at Via Napoli for less than $15/pp. You'd have to order salad, pizza and soda for everyone and not let anyone touch a menu.
