What's the best way to go about our reservations? I know we have to call, of course, but wonder if anyone has any experience with a family reunion?

I always find good info here and wanted to ask the experts! :)

ADR day is in 2 weeks!

With a party that large, I would think you would have to go through Group Dining.

We made reservations for 'Ohana for a party of 20 just by calling Disney Dining Reservations. It wasn't an issue. Whether we will all be sitting together will be a question. Fingers crossed!

Hope this helps!

The last time my group was with a "Grand Gathering" and I was able to just call Dining Reservations and there was not any problem. With that said, like a PP they do not guarantee seating together. Usually, they ask if it is ok to be split up.....especially at some of the smaller restaurants.

Also, don't be shocked if you are only offered very limited times. Some locations will only seat large parties at specific times (usually first or last seatings).

This is definitely good to know...we'd definitely prefer to book smaller group reservations at better times and forego sitting near each other if need be. Thank you so much for the info!!!

We have had three trips to Disney with a party of 15. That being said, some restaurants were better than others...

The buffets are always great because you don't have to worry about someone's food missing, a wrong order, etc. Crystal Palace only has smaller tables. Boma was able to sit us at a very long table. Ohana had us split in two large tables. Hoop De Doo had us at 3 (or 4) tables close together. Biergarden had us at 2 tables as well.

Breakfast meals seem to run smoother than dinner. Perhaps breakfast food is easier/faster to cook? Kouzzina was a great breakfast, very long drawn out dinner.

We always booked through grand gatherings phone number. Times were never really an issue for us. We were not able to get Le Cellier once. When DH and I went alone the following year I can guess why. Small!
