We are going to Disney as a grand gathering:grouphug: in Dec. Since I'm in charge of all the planning I was wondering if anyone knew if we would be seated together? :confused3

The resturants we are planning are:
Corral Reef
Crystal Palace
O'hana's
Liberty Tree Tavern
50's Prime Time.

My other concern is if we are seated at different tables since we are all on the DDP how do they keep track of who's on what card? I know at the meals they are not going to want to sit according to room.

If you read my recent post on CP, you'll know that I'm not a fan and I think it would be incredibly difficult to do with 16 people.

Have you considered BOMA there is plenty of room and the food and service is fabulous.

Good luck!

All of the meals imad ADRs for (party of 14 for some 18 for others), I was told we would be seated at tables for four.

AS far as the DDP, I have no idea since we aren't using it.

Oh, and I don't think it matters who sits where, as long as you let the server know when you are seated, who is with who. We dined with my parents who were paying and we were DDP and had no problems if we were up front with it.

I have booked Boma each of our trips and ended up cancelling each time. This time I'm not even trying. We have to do CP purely for the characters. My Mom and SIL are both Winnie junkies so I have promised them this. We have done this meal several times and they've seated us together but we've only been a party of eight.

I hope not:scared1: . That would put me sitting alone with a baby, child 2 and child 4. Or maybe I can assign DH that seat and sit at the adult table:rotfl: .

I hope not, too, since the ratio of kid:adults in our party definitely gives the young children the advantage in our party:scared1:

I mad a reservation for 16 people at 'Ohana's in May - I never even questioned if we would be at seperate tables - EEK! I did have to call the group PS phone number instead of the normal reservation number. They were great to work with.

Did you get the group reservation # through Grand Gatherings? I have a GG in August but don't have the GG # assigned yet (requested it but haven't heard) so went ahead and made my ADR's through regular number. I've done OK at 'Ohana - had to pick an early time to be guaranteed a table together - but am having a hard time at Tutto Italia. So far one CM said it was too early, call back and there will be more availability for party of 12 and today CM said all large tables for 12 were already booked. Go figure.

How does Grand Gatherings and making reservations for that many people work? We're going to have 14 people in December for our wedding that we'll need to make reservations for. Do I need to start collecting all their reservation #s and then call Grand Gatherings for one "Group Reservation" number?

So far, we'll need to be making reservations at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Ohana and Kona Cafe (breakfast)

When I booked we were all given our individual # and than we were also given a grand gathering # that we use when making our ressie's.

We were a party of 14. Mama Melrose, Marrakesh, Cap'n Jacks sat us together at a large table. They were very accomodating. Coral Reef, not only broke us up into 3 tables, not even close to each other, they only had seating for us for 12 and our ADR was 14. They apologized, but they were booked!
