I read a review of Party for the Senses with great interest because my mother and brother are going next weekend and I am helping them plan. It sounds like "staking a claim" to a table and chairs is high priority (they really don't want to/ and can't / stand the entire time). Does anyone know how you "save" your seats when you go to get your food? My brother is mentally handicapped so they can't split up.

Are people likely to be respectful of the fact that someone is already sitting there, or are they likely to lose their seats as soon as they get up to get their food? My mother travels lite and doesn't want to carry stuff like jackets or backpacks to use to "mark" her seats, but will if necessary--but is it likey people will just ignore them anyway and take the seats even if they are marked?

I could really use an answer on this! My mom is really concerned about getting a seat.

Anyone?

Anyone?

I don't know how much help I can be because I don't know what Party for the Senses is.

But my initial thought was that if it is just the 2 of them and they have to stake a claim to a table, maybe they could kind of scout something close to another small group, couple, etc. that seems friendly and ask if they could help them out and hold the table. I'm sure if your mom briefly explained (even if she just said she could not leave your brother alone and left it at that) someone would help her out. I would certainly do this to help someone, so I am sure others might be willing. Or maybe a CM in the area could help.

Good luck.

We were there the first Saturday and never tried to sit down, but I do think that bringing a jacket or backpack to mark your chairs would do the trick. There are some reserved seats, I think for local FL bigwigs, but your mom might ask if they could assist her since she has special circumstances. Take care! Sus:)
