Partner hotels and ticket questions

I'm currently booked at AKL for 9 nights in September for $2800 and change. My DS wants to go to HHN BAD. I'm kinda looking at dropping the last 3 nights at AKL and going to one of the partner hotels(is that the right term?) located close to US. I can book there for 3 nights WITH tickets to US/IOA for around $300.

Knocking 3 nights off at AKL will bring the cost down to around $2000 there. That's going to leave me with about $500 additional to play with for HHN tickets and EP's for the night and extra food. So, for about the same price as 9 nights at AKL, I can do 6 nights there, 3 in Orlando, AND have US/IOA tickets AND some money left for incidentals. Does that make sense or have I overlooked something?

If I book it this way will they send me the tickets to US or will I have to go by the hotel on the first day to get them?

You can buy park tickets on Universal's website and pick then up at a kiosk in the park. Plus they are really cheap right now on Universal's website (85.19 approx. including tax).

Sorry, I can confuse myself sometimes. I found some packages for partner hotels with tickets. If I purchased one of those I was wondering about getting the tickets sent before I left or if I would have to check in first. I would rather go on straight to IOA after checking out of AKL.

However, I figured out I could book the hotel separately and buy the tickets from US for about the same price, and not have to check into the hotel until after we spent the day at IOA. The $500 was just the savings from not doing AKL those 3 nights. Sorry for the confusion.

Thats ok and you can buy your tickets and use the electronic pick up and the day you go all you have to do is have the confirm number they email you and swipe the credit card you used at the kisok machine and it will print out your tickets.
