Hi there! We are booking a trip in September and I'm trying to figure out some logistics, hoping more experienced Orlando goers can help. I hope this makes sense.
Our plan is this:
Saturday Sept 20 fly into Orlando
Rent a car and drive to Tampa area to spend 2 days with friends who will have recently had a baby
Monday Sept 22 drive back to Orlando
Stay at Universal one night to spend Monday PM and all day Tuesday at US and IOA
Tuesday Sept 23 (evening)
Drop off rental car
Get to WDW and check in at our resort there for a week (we don't want a car the week we're at WDW)
Wed Oct 1 fly home
So my questions are:
If we drop off the car on Tues the 23 at the airport, can we take ME to WDW even though we aren't actually flying in that day? I'm thinking not because they require flight info, but I'm not positive. If we can't take it, would our best bet be to just take a taxi?
Can we drop it off somewhere other than the airport near WDW and not have to pay extra? It usually is cheaper to pick up and drop off at the same place, but maybe not the case with the sheer volume of rentals in Orlando?
Even if we don't use ME when we get there, we can still use it when we depart, right? It's not a round trip only thing?
