partial points / cash reservation

We are staying in a studio on points at Boardwalk Villas in early May. We have friends that will be going at the same time (they are not DVC Members). Is it possible to get larger accommodations using our points along with their cash? If so how does it work?

You cannot use points and cash for the same room on the same day. What you could do is for you to use points for a 1BR some of the days with both your names on the ressie. They use cash and make a ressie for the 1BR the rest of the days with both your nam es on the ressie and then you have the two reservations linked together (which MS can do). This all assumes of course that there are actually 1BR's still available for that time using points and cash.
