We're planning a trip to FW in May of next year. Went to price the trip and received sticker shock at the cost of a campsite for next year.
Anyway, that's got me thinking about getting a partial hookup site at FW. It would save us nearly $300 by simply loosing the sewer. I have never stayed in a partial hookup site in the past and have a few questions.
1. Which loops are partial hookup? The only ones I have seen were "off the beaten path" and were not as nice (less shade, less space, seemed to be less cared for).
2. Is there a dump station at FW that one could take a portable tank too?
3. How busy are the comfort stations? I've been spoiled by the one in the 1100 loop, never busy (rarely anyone else in it) and almost always spotless.
4. Comments on the partial vs. full debate?
5. Are the pads paved? Or would we be walking through sand/crushed shell to get to the door of our unit?
We are staying in a popup...it has a shower, but we would just use the bathhouse to avoid creating gray water, the sink would produce a little hence the need to dump the portable rolling tank.
Thanks for the input!
