Parterre Place at Riverside!

We decided to spend a night on property last night so we could take advantage of PI (had a sitter) and go to EE morning at MGM this morning.

We just requested a standard view, and had no other types of requests other than non smoking, since we knew that we were really only going to be there to sleep.

We stayed in Parterre Place at Riverside, and had a gorgeous view of the courtyard with the flower gardens and fountain on the 1st floor. We had never even thought of staying in this particular building, as we had always heard everyone rave about Magnolia Terrace and AB bldg 14 (both of which we have stayed in in the past and really liked). Let me tell you... Parterre Place is just as nice, if not nicer and SO convenient. We were a very short walk over the bridge to the main building and marina, and right next to a gorgeous quiet pool.

I only wish we had a longer time to have enjoyed it!

Sounds like fun, I wish that I lived close enough to go just for the night...my husband and I are working on that...wishing hard for some magic that will let us make our move to Florida.

We stayed there too and at first I thought, "Oh great, it's the further building from the bus stop." But, I learned to love it quickly just for that reason. The walk is so nice alongside the river and I loved the fountains.

I am glad you posted this. In an earlier post that I had some other people had recommended Parterre Place to me but when I looked on the map it seemed so far from everything.

I know alot of people like the AB section but I would prefer one of the mansions and I would rather be near the main building than the main pool. Your post has helped me make a decision as to what Mansion I will request.

I have stayed at alot of the Disney reosrts and have always stayed away from the mansion homes at POR because that style of architecture is not my favorite by any means. I love WL and AKL and the interior decore. I stayed in Alligator Bayou and really liked it there in 1997. To try something different on my last trip I booked POR and request one of the mansion homes. I got a corner room on the seconf floor of Parterre Place, overlooking the gardens, fountain and river. It was a wonderful view and area to stay in. It was quiet and pretty and the bridge over the river was right nearby so was an easy walk to get coffee and then hit the front bus stop.
