After Keys Tour, we headed back to the GF for a rest prior to heading to the Brown Derby for Dinner. We arrived at the GF bus station about an hour before our PS time. The AK bus and the PI bus passed us twice before the MGM bus finally arrived.

My Dad was questioning my authority on all things Disney by asking, “you sure we don’t take the Monorail ?”. I wanted to make a wise remark about if you didn’t insist on self parking and were not seventy something years old I’d have you go get our rental car”.

There were two young teenagers also waiting for the bus as well as a family with small children. I thought those kids were going to crawl up the walls of the bus stop. I was ready to join them. The husband of that crew contemplated going to guest services and seeing if the bus was in an accident and/or complaining but his wife did not want him to.

Overall Disney Transportation, boats, buses and monorails were efficient. But this time they weren’t. We waited approximately 80 minutes for the MGM bus and were very late for our PSs. The bus foiled my touring plan because after dinner I had planned on the Great Movie Ride and looking around MGM prior to Fantasmic.

Brown Derby was only second to Victoria & Alberts as my favorite restaurant choice. We all had the fillets with lobster tails. All included in the Silver Plan. My Mom & Dad never eat like this at home when they go out for dinner and they seemed to really enjoy themselves. My Mom loved the Cobb Salad. The Grapefruit Cake was delicious. The steaks were excellent on par with LeCellier and Yachtsman Steakhouse. The atmosphere/ambiance was much more relaxing. I love the Brown Derby and would return again.

Fantasmic was delayed due to the rain. As it was the off season we really didn't need the dinner package for seating at Fantasmic. This is my third or fourth time at Fantasmic. It you have never seen it, it should be on your must do list. If I was to plan the trip all over in hindsight I would have skipped Fantasmic and went to Pleasure Island or just spent time relaxing in the GF lobby.

When we returned to the room we had a big suprise from the cast of the GF !!!!

Sorry to hear the bus failed you this time - but a nice ending to a day at Disney - thanks for posting!
