Welcome :cheer2: Sounds like you have a wonderful family trip in store :goodvibes

Don't forget to read Post #2 - contains everything you need to know about Disney and all things Christmas compiled by our awesome Tofubeast :)

I love that things on my To Do list are starting to come up as due. :) I booked the babysitter today for our adult night out. We may do another one on our last night, but if we do that we'll use Simba's Clubhouse. Most likely we'll all be too tired for that though.

So here's what is left on my To Do list (besides finalizing Plan A or Plan B):

1. Prepare Pin Package - This will "arrive" for DS and DFIL before our trip. Right now I'm waiting on that book.
2. Make Ornaments for the Tree
3. Cut Cardstock for Autographs
4. Order Photopass CD
5. Make Cards for "12 Days of Christmas"
6. Wrap Presents
7. Print Holiday Passport for Epcot
8. Order Christmas Tree(s) and Air Bed (to be shipped to resort)
9. Print CM Thank You Cards and Mousekeeping Envelopes
10. Buy/make Room Decorations (garland, door signs, banners)
11. Pack - I keep a box with specifically Disney stuff like ponchos and ear hats. And I'll start putting summer clothes in there as we stop using them.

I'm curious to know what type of ornaments you're making and what your making them out of? I'm planning on making a Mickey head for our Christmas tree topper out of 2 hollow foam half spheres.

I bought some small glass Mickey Heads on sale. But haven't decided if I want to haul them down there. I'm thinking to just keep it super simple - card stock circles with pictures of our favorite characters. Laminate them then put them on colored string. I want small and lightweight. The tree (two if the in-laws go) I'll have shipped from Amazon but everything else goes in my suitcase.

Oh my those are some high heels. But I can see the appeal of the glitter. LOL

I just typed shirt extender in the search bar and they popped up for me. :confused3

They did? Not for me

Now they have .... huh, maybe I typed something wrong :confused3

Thank you *mwah*

They remind me of the Modern Family episode at DL when Gloria wears heels in the park, and Jay ends up buying her a pair of Minnie slippers to soothe her aching feet

That was a great episode! Then they buy Lilly little high heels to slow her down. I wish more ABC sitcoms would take trips to DL & DW. They did that a lot in the 90s.

I have never ridden the monorail. :(

DH and DSis rode it while I was on nap duty (bus to ASMu) once. It has been on my plan every trip but we never made it. This year we'll probably ride several times to get from BWV to the MK resorts (thru Epcot).

What? What? We definitely riding the monorail from EP to MK the night of our Dessert Party. Now I'm going to have to plan a return trip for later in the week. We could ride from MK to EP on the day we're going from BOG counter service at MK to Capt Grille for an early dinner but that would mean getting off monorail and walking clear to the International Gateway to walk to Yacht Club. Isn't it faster to take MK bus to Yacht Club?

Faster, yes. But not as scenic ;)

if you have time for a leisurely ride and a longish walk, go for the monorail. Otherwise, just take the bus.

Yes, I was the enabler that mentioned the thermal shirts on sale... :smokin:
The shirt was just really slender cut - I'm actually a pretty slender person, but I don't like clingy things and this is just cut very narrow. Make sense? I'm thinking if I buy the large then I'll ended up having some really long sleeves?

But hey for $12, I might just deal with it and hope you won't be able to see the outline of the cupcake I just ate...
I bought two of those thermals but didn't care for the fit either. The catalog made them seem like they were more of a "swing" type shirt and you are right.....they were way too clingy for me to be comfortable! I took them back to the Disney Store :(

I have a dilema... help me out here...

We're arriving on Saturday, Dec. 1 and going to MK. I definitely don't expect to ride anything because I know weekends are packed - so my ONLY must-do this day is watching the evening firework shows. My dilema is this: do I try and get the dessert party for that night and see the Castle show from there or just make my way to a prime viewing spot a few hours before and camp? Understand this will be my FIRST Castle show... when we were there over the summer, we were on such a mission to get to rides we were basically running past the parades and shows so we could take advantage of the smaller lines. I want the best possible spot for my first show... Do we pay the money to enjoy it from the terrace, knowing we won't eat even 1/2 of what we pay for? :faint:
I've never done the Dessert Party either but we are doing it this trip....the trip that will show the world that Kathy can indeed carry an extra 20 pounds on her skinny ankles. :rotfl2:

There's another possibility - it's possible FP+ will be running by then. You could book a Wishes FP. But it doesn't hurt to book the party and cancel if you don't need it,

What is this Wishes FP? I know not of this thing. :confused3
