DH was reading about things to do during the holidays at WDW last night and discovered the sleigh ride at Wilderness lodge. Luckily it was booked full and have now added the sleigh ride and Chip and Dales camp fire sing along to our plans.

It's Monday! Which this week isn't that bad. DS's birthday is today so he's enjoying a 'yes' day. He's excited to go to school and share his snack. He had his party yesterday at Monkey Joes (one of those moonbounce places) and loved it. Both my boys slept like rocks last night

On to exciting Disney news, I will be paying off our trip this week and ordering out MVMCP tickets and photopass+. I will feel so much better knowing its paid off and all we need I do now is save spending money and Christmas money (I plan to do a lot of Christmas shopping in WDW, and hoping one of those includes a trip for next year).

Still stalking ADRs for a breakfast either at MK or Epcot. If we get it fantastic if not oh well.

Hope everyone had a great weekend

Happy Birthday to your DS!!!!

Monkey Joes is awesome did you enjoy your party experience? We are thinking about doing a party there for DD.

I haven't really been on this thread (or the first one) in about a month. Just had to share that our ADR's are finally completed - Phew! Unfortunately, we lost out on 50's PT b/c I waited too long before trying to make the reservation :headache:. They are booked solid on our day and the only opening they had was for 8:45 pm, which is too late for us. So I had to book us at Hollywood & Vine instead. I'll keep checking though to see if there are any cancellations for 50's (although I doubt there will be).

The other two we lost out on was T-Rex for our arrival day and Chef Mickey's :(. Both are booked solid. I managed to get us Planet Hollywood for our arrival day and Kona Cafe for our other day (the latter being highly recommended on the restaurant board).

I'm ok with PH and KC but I'm really bummed that I waited too long to book 50's PT. I was really looking forward to going there again. I'm :furious: with myself for waiting so long. Yet DH, DS10 and my mom and brother are ok with it. Although, my mom now understands the reasoning behind the 180 day mark for making ADR's.

In the beginning (when we first started planning this vacation) my mom and brother had a hard time accepting it b/c they are used to the old way (their last trip was back in 1993). Back then you only had to make your reservations a few days in advance not months. With Epcot, I remember my father making a dinner reservation for Germany as soon as we arrived in the park. My mom and brother have since found out that this is not the case anymore. Reservations must be made weeks to months in advance or you risk losing out like we did with 50's PT b/c of me.

Bummer on 50's PT!! Did you call T-Rex directly? I have heard that Disney dining only gets some spots and the restaurants has more available. I think Kona will be great! It is my BIL's favorite restaurant on property. DH is kinda picky, but there are several things on the menu that I would like.

We did. The girl who was out 'party leader' was super nice. We were so lucky since the place wasn't crowded at all the whole time we were there. There might been maybe 2 or 3 other families in there. The kids loved it. I only got pizza from them (they use a local pizzeria). I brought balloons, cupcakes and goody bags for the kids. My only wish is that the party included some tokens but we just got some and split them among the kids. It was nice to not have to clean up and worry about set up.

I've made a bit of progress in the planning too. I got my Teva shoes ordered, last time I went in September and I alternated between two pairs of Teva mush sandals/flip flops and my feet were pretty happy. So I figured getting a pair of Teva mush shoes should be a safe bet so I have something to wear in case it's cooler. These are the ones I ordered. Went shopping this weekend and picked up new runners for two of my kids who needed some so they can have a chance to break them in before we go. I got our photopass plus ordered, and bought our MVMCP tickets for Dec.4. Stroller is ordered, booked the hotel we're staying at by the airport since our flight is so early. I have almost all of our ADR's. Still crossing my fingers that an earlier Ohana will open up, and a CP ressie before park opening. Also praying for a lunch at Le Cellier on my birthday, but that's probably not going to happen, but hey a girl can dream right? :lovestruc

That is awesome to hear! Thank you for sharing your experience.

I really like those! But, I don't think they would flatter my feet :confused3 also, the colours aren't 'me' either. *gasp* glitter ones would be *sings* yum-mmmmmmy

Now it's my turn to be making changes again. We were going to be doing an Illuminations Cruise with another group, but their plans changed and they won't be able to join us on the cruise. And, $347 is too much to spend for a one-hour cruise for the two of us. So, the new plan (for Monday night):

Tour AK as planned during the day. Do a 5:05PM ADR at California Grill (just booked). We'll get a great view of the sunset, which is predicted to be around 5:30PMish. Then, we'd monorail hop the resorts to see holiday decorations, before heading back to the Contemporary to head up to the California Grill to watch MK fireworks from their balcony (allowed to return because we ate their earlier that day). After fireworks, head to Jellyrolls if we want for an hour or so.

Or, if it's warm enough, we could watch fireworks from the beach outside the Polynesian.

It'll give us a nice dinner, plus we'll still get a unique fireworks viewing experience.

Thoughts? We originally had 1900 PK booked before the cruise, but I think California Grill + fireworks will be more special/memorable than just doing 1900 PK.

Mary janes are so cute but they just do not look cute on my feet *folds arms* they make my feet look a funny shape :scratchin

How are you doing?

Swelling has gone waay down in my knee. Still have pain esp. when I over do it. Can finally straighten out my knee, but cannot bend it without pain. Had my MRI last Thurs. and now waiting until Wed. for the final verdict. My guess is that it is a menscius tear (and a pretty nasty one at that), but I think my ACL is still intact. I would think that I would be in much more pain and not able to walk at all if my ACL had torn. From my research a torn menscius that they just remove the torn edges from is a much easier recovery than if they need to suture together the menscius. If they just need to remove the torn parts, I might be up and walking by our vacation. If it involves any type of repair, I will be scooting around Disney ;)

I like the new plan. Glad you were still able to get the CA Grill ADR. I can't believe someone cancelled the cruise on you. Some people!!! :lmao: Somehow I think we will both still have great trips. :goodvibes

Just officially made my changes. Isnt it funny how the refund for one room will take 5-6 business days, but the charge for the other room showed up instantly? :confused3 Anyway, trip is paid off!!!!! :cool1::banana:

They wouldnt refund my extra MVMCP ticket, so if anyone needs a ticket for 12/18, let me know.

So is it still POP or did you go to the Presidential Suite at GF?

Yes!

Haha. I know, I know. I wouldn't be surprised. We're both at a point where it somewhat makes sense. The only thing is, she's still in school at OSU, while I'm at school in Cleveland (roughly 2.5 hours away). And we're not sure if we want to start with long distance. But...she's a senior, so she'll be graduating in May. And she thinks she's going to live at home for a while after graduating. And home would only be 30 minutes from me.
