We are also planning an October 2013 trip (must get my $$'s worth for my AP). I love WDW in October. See you on the Oct thread.

We are doing the same thing! Buying an AP in Dec because we are going back in June for Star Wars Weekends with my BF's son. But since we will have an AP, we are totally going again in October! pirate:

I've never been so many times in a 1 year span...I'm kinda excited!

My school just released the 2013-2014 academic calendar, and now I'm thinking I might need to make a mid-term break trip to WDW. If I want to convert my pass to an AP pass, can I do it while I'm at WDW in December? Or am I better off doing it before my December trip?

Mid-term break is Oct 12-20. Might be a good time to experience F+W.

EDIT: I think I'll need to upgrade while I'm at Disney...otherwise I'd lose my dining plan, which I don't want. And, according to the ticketing sticky, they said that the upgrade should happen on my last day, because sometimes it causes problems with the KTTW if done mid-trip.

Question 2: When I book for October, what happens if one person in the room has an annual pass but the other guest doesn't?

That is a question I was wondering too. When we go back, two of us will have an AP, but the rest of our group will not.

We plan on buying the AP when we get there since we are staying off property. This will give us free parking and merch discounts for the entire trip.

I am seriously addicted to shopping but when the prices are just too good to be true, its like heaven lol

Even the shooping bags at the disney store are too cute:thumbsup2

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

DH agree to go to WDW again next October (2013) for DD's 3rd b'day!!!!!

B'day celebrating, MNSSHP, and Food & Wine!!!!

Do I have the energy to do two Roll Calls? hahah :thumbsup2 (Edit, someone's already doing one, so I can just focus here. hehe)

:yay:

We are hoping to do a grown ups only trip in October (to celebrate anniversary, which is today, but so close to the start of school and holiday weekend means its hard to get time off from work) ... I have always wanted to do F&W; we have done MNNSHP and would consider it again depending on park hours... Hehe (which means yes I would talk my husband into it!!)

We'll be there in Oct too. We love F&W and MNSSHP and it's DS's birthday. The only reason we didn't go this year is because we're going in Dec. but that just means next year we'll have the APs. :)

This is exactly our situation! We are getting FL resident week day passes for our December trip, so we figured we'd use them again. Plus, since we'd arrive a couple days before DD's 3rd b'day, she would still count as "2" and we wouldn't need tickets! hehe.

Question 2: When I book for October, what happens if one person in the room has an annual pass but the other guest doesn't?

What exactly are you asking? Is it related to free dining or something? If you wanted free dining you would still have to buy a MYW package, but you could select the lowest requirement of days for a ticket. Both of you in the room would have to do this. (Though I believe one can buy more days on their ticket than the other. I think.) You could always save your ticket from that package and use it in the future or towards another AP. The ticket sticky has the nitty gritty on all that stuff that is maintained by CheshireFigment.

But if one of you who has an AP, you can book a room only and take advantage of having an AP discount rate (if one is occurring at that time- which there usually is). Then you could buy a Tables in Wonderland card and save 20% at most sit down restaurants and bars. (That is what we do (discounted room +TiW over the dining plan as it tends to save us more and give us the option to pick as little or as much as what we want to eat.)

Or you could rent DVC points from an owner. They could add the DDP on for you, but there is no discount on that.

Wow!! I leave ya'll alone for one holiday weekend and you break 1 thread and manage 17 pages on the next one! :rotfl2:

We watched the Incredibles this weekend. I had never seen it! Kicked off our Disney movie countdown :goodvibes

Still no announcement for the TBA CP celebs? Bah!

That is what I was thinking would be the best bet, but I just wanted to be sure. Plus, I doubt I'd want a dining plan during F+W.

Thanks :thumbsup2

SCORE!!!

Yay!!! 90 days left for me! I can make my Pirate's league reservation.

Yay!! I've been debating whether to surprise DH and DS with this or the P&P Fireworks voyage.

Good morning everyone!

It may be Tuesday, but it sure feels like a Monday.

I need some Disney holiday thoughts in my head to get me through. :)

I told DH last night that I want to go to Disney in October to see the fall decorations, MNSSHP and F&W. He says it's still too hot in October, so I said I would go solo. And then I come on this morning and so many of my Dec friends are going next Oct!!! I wasn't really thinking about 2013, but I might need to really consider this.
Congrats to everyone who has their next trip booked before they go on this one!! :cool1:

:offtopic: It's the first day of school getting the kids out the door then I can really start planning and not worring about them reading over my shoulder.

I love that you haven't been on your first trip yet, but you are planning to go back. Most people at least step on property before they get sucked in. :goodvibes Tofubeast already answered your question, but I will add if you do room only with the AP discount, the other person can get their tickets at a discount from Undercover Tourist. That's what we did last year when we stayed offsite.

When we were there in mid-October 2009, we had on jackets in the morning and evening, and long sleeves the rest of the day! We didn't get on Splash Mountain until our last day because it just wasn't warm enough. By the end of our trip it finally got into the 80's.

100 days!!!

I don't have anything on my WDW planning agenda today, aside from maybe trying to get a different BOG ADR. What is everyone else doing today?

My kids are at school! I am dressed for the gym, but I am enjoying sitting on the couch under a blanket, watching HGTV! I need to get out eventually to get to the post office and the grocery store.
