PART TWO *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

All this NYC Xmas talk makes me miss home... I haven't been to NJ/NY since 2010....

We take the train into the City every December and make a whole day of it. We're not doing that this year due to our Disney vacation. I'm gonna miss not going this year, but we'll have more fun in WDW. We'll do the City again next year.

Any suggestions on what to do/where to go on a free day in Florida? We will have a car so I don't mind driving no more than 2 hours away from DW. Appreciate any suggestions!

Don't know if Busch Gardens is open still or not during the time you are there. But that may also be an option.

Where do you live? We're in StL. When do you leave? Are you flying Southwest?

We live in Kansas City. Sissy and I'll drive out to STL after her school lets out on the 18th and stay at Dad's condo that night. Our flight leaves at the ungodly hour of 6 am in the 20th. We're flying Delta. Since its just a 4 night trip we can fit everything into carry on bags.

Most of my family has moved away, and traveling there with how young my kids are just not happening yet... soon enough though! It's about a 6-7 hour drive and well- that's not fun.

Ok so I just did a mental inventory of my closet. I think I have 8 Disney t-shirts and 1 long sleeve tee that I would wear in public. My trip is 8 days, counting departure day which is really just wake up and go to the airport. So technically I have enough, but I think I should have a couple extras in case I want to change or spill something. Right?? I am going to go through the whole souvenir budget 2 months before the trip!! I have already bought a 2012 ornament too. So all I really want at WDW is a coffee mug and something from MVMCP.

Yes, I am just trying to talk myself into believing it's okay to buy the world showcase shirts. Just 2 of them though, not all 11.

But if you just wear the Disney shirts you already have how will you be able to tell the photos from this trip apart from all the others? See, you really DO need those World Showcase shirts!

So I just got a $20 off coupon for pre ordering Cinderella... I have a $15 credit..... I foresee an order being placed! Now what to get!?! However I think I'll be making a trip to the Disney outlet first....

I had wanted to do Gaylord Ice but there's absolutely NO time for me. I think it looks like it may be worth a visit. Tell me....how does it feel to have a free day in Florida? lol! Of course, if it were me and I had a whole free day I would be tempted to drive to Tampa for a little beach time!

Mt. Dora is a nice little town to visit about 45 mins from WDW. Here's a little review I did in my PTR.

Do the do trick or treating at Hershey Park or just in town? We usually go for Christmas Candylane when it first opens. It's only about an hour from us

The trick or treating at the park, I didnt know you could go in town..we have done it the last 2 times we went to Disney in December since we cant fit in Candylane.

We stopped spur of the moment a few months ago and did chocolate world and the 3D move...it was silly but fun to just be spontaneous.

I'm about 2 to 2 1/2 hrs away depending on which route I take lol.

Adding myself to the December roll call! DH and I are arriving 12/1 and staying in a Little Mermaid room at the Art of Animation until 12/6 when we depart for two days at Universal before heading home. This is my first December trip and I'm super excited!
