Is anyone staying onsite at US just for the early admission? I'm so tempted to book a night or two just to get a head start on WWoHP. BUT, since I upgraded to the preferred rooms at CSR DH says we paid for good rooms just to go spend more $ on another room.. Sigh =/

We are but we are also staying offsite for 2 weeks. But I got one night specifically for FOTL and WWoHP early entry.

We had a local 'incident' where a girl was harassed on Facebook, it was a horrible story, mean mean girls made a page in her name and posted all kinds of terrible stuff. The school could not do anything about it because it didn't happen at school yadda yadda yadda. Was a huge deal here in Atlanta.

Interestingly, our county released some new rules in the Code of Discipline this year. Basically, it is against school rules now for a student to harass another student, or defame their character on a social network site. Also, students are not allowed to take photos or video of another student and upload to a social network site in a negative way etc etc. I was so pleased to see that.

That's great to see. Even at my work it says we need to conduct ourselves properly on social networking sites. Which we have always done because they are for public view.

All-Star Movies! It's perfect for us, since we're really just there to nap and sleep at night.

We are at POP for the same reason. :thumbsup2

Funny story about that ..... we got a free photo album last year. I had such fun uploading our PP photos and personalising each page with memories about our trip. I had a double spread about our resort with some fab pictures. I wrote about how much we enjoyed the resort and that it was awesome waking up to a giant woody every morning :lmao::lmao: Yep. There in print FOREVER :rotfl:

:lmao:Why am I not surprised?? I can just see DD showing the book to her kids (many years from now) and realizing what it says. :rotfl:

Thanks. I noticed it only shows the parks. What about the resorts themselves?

On another note, I was just talking to my mom on the phone to let her know the answer to her ATM question. I also let her know that I will make a copy of our "ADRs" for her. She then asked me, "What?" I forgot, she doesn't know the abbreviations used here on the DISboards. So I had to tell her the list of our reservations. <sigh> I'm on here way too much lately that DISspeak has now entered my everyday vocabulary with other people :rolleyes1

Congrats to all thoses paid in full, I love that Halloween is almost here, it means Christmas is right around the corner. I received a some more items from the Disney store today, I purchased the 2012 Duffy that was50% off. He is too cute Nicholas took him out the box hugged him and gave him a kiss. It was the cutest thing I ever saw. I have a long weekend Thursday going pumpkin picking and going with the babies on a hayride, friday hubby and i are going to Dorney park for their horror night and Saturday we were invited to a Halloween party (since we are not actually taking them trick or treating(it's gonna be freezing))
Sunday it's back to sesame place with the kiddies can't wait. The busier I keep myself the faster the time goes.

Good luck and pixiedust: for a great interview!!

Thanks! I can't post abt it on fb bc too many of my current coworkers are friends and they don't know! I'm about to burst, I really hope it works out.

Finally caught up again, lol. Looks like my weekend plans are getting all messed up because of the tropical storm that's supposed to head up the coast. Well not all plans but Sunday. We are supposed to take the boys to trick or treat at Boo at the Zoo in Philly, but it's supposed to be cold and rainy :-(. We may try to squeeze in the zoo Saturday.

Now for this storm, if it doesn't go out to sea and hits here it has potential to be quite the storm. I'm hoping they are wrong but I guess we will see.

Girls have always been mean. I was terriblely bullied and picked on through middle and high school. I had a strong sense of self, thankfully, but it was awful. being fat, poor and shy was a terrible combination. It wasnt until college that I found my own. as the mom of 2 girls, we started before birth building confidence, and pointing out social injustices. My girls are well adjusted, and they stand up for each other, and others. My 11 year old is way wiser than I was. She has a great attitude about others, kind, compassionate and giving. And if someone doesnt like her, tough cookies - her response is "mom, they dont know what they are missing out on" I love it. She knows who she is, and that Jesus loves her and she can rise above. I wish I had had that confidence when I was her age. She was telling me about befriending a girl at school b/c she looked lonely, and told me that people "have no idea what other kids go through" and should "think before they are mean". I hope it holds through JHS and HS!

We had our first "frenemy" last year, I saw it coming. This girl was all nice when she wanted something then would turn on a dime and be mean, snarky and just down right nasty. I didnt say anything, but after the 2nd time the girl turned on her, it was time to invite for a sleep over for my DD's birthday - and she said mom, I dont want to invite so and so. She's not the kind of friend I need. I'm still nice to her, but she has treated me and another good friend pretty badly, I'm not ok with that. She weathered that first BFF type break up pretty good I
thought.[/QUOTE]

How sad. I know I had a rough time in JH and High school too.
I have quite a few friends with girls that have told me the same problems with their girls. I've even had grown women hate on me in the work place or plot to get another fired.
I think in someways girls could learn from boys how to let things go. Boys don't seem to gang up on each other like girls. Maybe it's team sports, I don't know. I do think that teens having access to texting and FB, has just added fuel to the fire. Now they have venues to vent their issues and talk about others.

I don't know the answer. I just feel bad for your daughter. :confused3
Thank God she has you to help her navigate through all this.

Excited to try out AoA and escape to warmer weather where the mice play outside all day.:cool1:
