all this talk of plans and spread sheet makes me feel like I must be the most unorganized person going!....I do have a few ADRs so I know that on those days we will be at those parks, but other than that, guess we will punt. Am I crazy?....not sure, but it works for my family and kids that seem to change their minds and moods! Oh and 2 MONTHS from today we will be on our way! :cheer2:

If you are so am I. I was asked by the family not to create a crazy schedule this trip. Apparently I turn into vacationzilla or something. The feeling is we've all been there 1001 times minus the 4 yr old and we will be back another 1001 times. I have ADRs and that is it.

Oh, geez, with my lengthy last post I forgot to ask- how far in advance should I order from the Garden Grocer? Is that the delivery service you all would use?

Someone tell me about this? I just don't see where I am going to have time for a grocery run.

wondering about the weather mid december?
Hoping it isnt cold:confused3
Im from Chicago, and would love to get away from the freezing temps

It basically depends on the day / year etc. it can also be 30 at the beginning of the week and 80 at the end or vice versa. It is crazy. We have the same weather patterns here in New Orleans basically.

Congrats on the weight loss!

Shoes... um, ballet flats? Not sure how comfy they'd be though. Crocs makes some cute flats that look dressier.

I have some Crocs ballet flats, they are cute and comfy. I am going to wear the at Disney with everything unless it is cold. The I have no clue.

Hey everyone, I finally caught up. So my I am not going to spend anything until Disney idea, backfired. Today was the library book sale and I got suckered by cheap books. Sigh...

Hi Everyone! Checking in :) (Joined DISboards a while back but only taking the time now to actually start using it!)

Here's the lowdown on our group/plans so far:
- 6 adults (My in-laws, my husband, my cousin & her husband who are flying in from Australia). Everyone but myself and my cousin's husband has been to WDW before.
- My in-laws, my husband & I have a 5-day park hopper. My cousin & her husband only have a 2-day park hopper.
- We will be staying off-site. At a friend's place 15 minutes from WDW. We have a rental car throughout our stay.
- We will be in Orlando a total of 8 days & have accounted for 3 rest days in between all the WDW happiness :)
- We haven't planned many ADR's. We've got a Cape May Cafe reservation for Christmas Eve breakfast. Trail's End for Christmas Day Lunch. My cousin's husband is a huge Miami Heat fan so we want to be at the ESPN Sports Bar for the Heat vs. Thunder game. And our final ADR is at the Marrakesh for 12/27 Dinner. My husband and I want to do a dinner by ourselves at some point - not sure where to go & who knows if reservations are even available anymore :)
- I am very much a PLANNER but have failed when it comes to WDW. I have a lot of catching up to do and this board is helping A LOT. So THANK YOU!

I guess that's all to say for now. It's so exciting to read all about YOUR plans. I love reading the TR's and getting some really valuable tips from them. I have found planning to be rather overwhelming but then I read the TR's and I realize that it's all do-able and you just have to put things into perspective.

Looking forward to eventually sharing my own tips & tricks one day.

Welcome! I'm in Missouri too.......I think your trip sounds fun. I loved Marrakesh but my hubby didn't want to go back this trip. We're trying all new places this trip but we'll be there Dec 9-17th.

I have a few questions related to MVMCP... If we are in the park that day, but do not have tickets, how do they get you to leave at 7:00? I know you will not be permitted on the rides without a wristband, but can you still wonder around the shops, etc? If you would like to eat at a CS, are you still allowed to after 7:00 or as long as you are in line by 7:00?

Good Morning everyone:goodvibes

Today is a MAGICAL day for me -

Today is my 10 year anniversary:love: My husband is still on a business trip, but we will be celebrating for 2 weeks at Disney at Christmas:cheer2:

AND a few minutes ago, I just paid off the balance for our Disney trip!!!

I have not been to MVMCP yet but attended MNSSHP a couple years ago. My understanding is that you will not be allowed to get into any ride/character/food lines once it hits 7pm. I have read reports that CMs check for wristbands and point those without in the direction of the exit. I also thought I read that you can't enter the stores either but someone else hopefully can confirm or deny

Happy Anniversary!!!!

BF is adding DxDP to our trip today. We are going to be eating more than anything else. :-D

We did get ADRs for Narcoossee's (sp?), Le Chefs de France, Fulton's, and Yak & Yeti. HDDR will be our last dinner on the trip. We haven't planned meals for Saturday and Sunday figuring we'll probably just do QS.

I'm going to end up very Pooh sized by the time this trip is over. :-D

Our next goal is to figure out what rides and attractions we want to see. If it ends up looking like we won't have enough time for everything we might cancel an ADR or try for another time.

51 days until we leave!! Flailing Kermit Arms!!!

I need to sort the change in my piggy bank for quarters and pennies too!

I recently discovered the sleep in rollers for my hair and I LOVE them! my looks like I spent a fair amount if time on it when I actually just woke up! LOL =) I plan to look good @ Disney in order to replace my fat pictures from last year. I'm going to each my 100 lbs lost and maybe a few extra since I was there last December! Woo hoo!!!!

Me too!! Last year I went before my diet and the only good thing about those pictures to me- is it a good time marker to see how far I've come!

Okay, here's the thing about Samsonite though. They guarantee their luggage. This means you can take any Samsonite piece of luggage into any Samsonite store, and they will repair it or replace it for free, even if its a style they no longer carry. I only get hard sided luggage since I travel frequently and get to hear luggage horror stories constantly from my mom who's worked for one of the legacy carrier airlines for over 30 years. I also use luggage straps because I've gotten my luggage back with the clasps popped open, but thanks to the luggage straps nothing fell out (though I've also lost a strap on the ramp). I've taken my Samsonite luggage to the Park City Samsonite store and they mailed it back to me on Maui repaired for free (new handles, new wheels) when things have gone wrong with different pieces since there's no Samsonite store on Maui anymore (and I know it was the airlines/train company's fault for mishandling).
If you're not going to use your luggage much, get the cheap stuff. But the expensive stuff is expensive for a reason, and well worth it since they'll fix it for you at no cost, including shipping if the closest store isn't near you.

Okay, wow. Thanks for that information. It might be worth investing in a samsonite bag. I had no idea they would repair for free!

Edit: I just checked the samsonite web site, and it says that they do not guarantee against damage from airline carriers:

"Your luggage has a warranty which covers manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. Our warranty does not cover repairs resulting from carrier damage, misuse or neglect of the product, normal wear and tear, or repairs beyond the warranty period."

**dancing*dancing** 45 days!**dancing*dancing**

So my sick kiddo didn't get better. Tried to get him into the Dr. but they weren't able to see him until 1130 this morning. He was complaining, more crying, when he ate so I checked his throat which was super RED. So I took him to urgent care. Turns out he has a really bad sinus infection. 10 days antibiotics for him. The PA said it was good I didn't wait because it could of turned to strep. Well no school for him today.

On happy news I'm under 45 days till we leave and exactly 45 days until we leave!!! Aaaaah! Time to start figuring out some outfits and shoes (thanks to the shoes discussion, lol). Our plans are pretty much finalized, so here goes

12/2 leave PA as soon as my Mom gets here from work, probably by 5pm at the latest

12/3 arrive in Fla, stop at welcome center (depending on the time) and finish our trek to POP. Check into POP and hopefully head to our room for showers and rest. Resort hop to BW & YC/BC to see decorations and DTD to shop an dinner at 630 at Raglan Rd

12/4 wake up, head to MK resorts to resort hop and lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe at 1:50, MVMCP, head o MK at 4pm

12/5 rope drop at MK, hop o HS for either Fantasmic or OL

12/6 915am breakfast at TH, explore AK, than hip to HS for whatever we missed

12/7 Happy Anniversary 825am Askershus breakfast, explore FW, Via Napoli dinner 330pm (CP 645), explore WS.

12/8 wake up and have a relaxing morning and check out. Head to DTD for any last minute souvenirs before we hit the road back to PA

That's it, in a 'nutshell', lol

The CMs are out in force checking bands and moving people to the gate. Guests without wristbands are not allowed to wander around, enter stores, etc. and there have been some reports on the TPAS board that people have been denied entry to the restroom. I'm not sure about CS, I'm sure they cut the line around 7 or right before 7. I know that when making a TS reservation either online or on the phone that you get a warning about needing party admission. Hope that helps. :)

Having a zero balance is awesome!

Two months exactly for me before our trip!
