Yay!!!!

That's us also! 39 days and can't wait...

I have to confess though, I'm getting anxious about the reveal to my kids. My girls are 14 & 10 and they don't know manfriend and I are going WITHOUT.THEM.

Seriously, it makes me queasy when I think of the "drama" that will unfold... his two kiddos won't exactly be thrilled either but they're less um "passionate" than mine... :sad2:

Granted we just returned from an everyone-included trip in June and we're making plans to take the kids next Christmas to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday BUUUTTT they're not gonna be happy to know we're going in a few weeks...

I know they'll have to suck-it-up but still won't be easy to deal...

We told our kids we were going to Fla but didn't tell them we were staying at WDW. They know we are going to visit there for maybe a day...little white lies don't hurt right?

There are a lot of rides in MK the kids will want to do so to be honest, I would factor in more MK time. How old are your kids?

My son Zachary is 4 and my daughter Zoe is 2. Zachary really isn't much on rides which is why I was thinking going in at 4 the day of the MVMCP would give us plenty of time.

There's a PP+ thread? I couldn't find it. I'm so overwhelmed by parts of this forum.. :headache:

I know the feeling. Just when I think I'm getting it I find myself with 100 more questions and beginning to feel overwhelmed again.

The discount is really for people that did not pre-order the CD or if you want to use your party pics for mugs or other products. Otherwise, the PP pics at MVMCP are no different than a regular park day and will all be included on your CD - whether you pre-order the CD or buy the whole PP+.

I'm going to have to do some more research on the PP because I know I am going to want pics, especially from MVMCP

So excited that I got a reservation for 8:05 Sat morning at Hollywood & Vine for the character breakfast. I'm hoping that'll give us plenty of time to eat and then go over to TSM and get some fast passes.

I also got reservations for the Fantasmic! Dining package there too for 3:50. Not sure if we will keep this one, but I thought better safe than sorry I should go ahead and book it.

Well took DS6 to the docs today and he tested positive for strep so I'm assuming that even though they didn't culture DS2 last week that is what he has/had. So DS6 is now on Cefzil while DS2 is still taking his amoxicillin. Fun times!!

Yuck! If they didn't tell you, throw away their toothbrushes when y'all finish the antibiotics.

Better to have it now then in a few weeks!! :thumbsup2 Hope the little guys are feeling better soon.

Possibly a stupid question, but if I purchase a vacation package from DW and get the Magic Your Way tickets do they have to be used by the people who bought them? Like do they put names on them or anything?

The KTTW card does have the names on it. Not sure if you separate the tickets from the room keys if they do or not.

we're 45 days out from our trip so I thought I'd revisit our plans. And what better place to think out loud than with all of you :-)

So a tiny bit of background. It's me, DD12, my mom and my dad. All of us have been to WDW a number of times, but never at Christmas time. So doing lots of Christmasy things is a priority. It's also a short 4-day trip so lots to do in a little bit of time. We have some things that are priorities for us and everything else is just a bonus.

Thursday 12/6 - Flying in and taking ME. Staying at POFQ for the first time. Hoping to be there around 1:30. After checkin we're heading to DHS. We have a 5pm ADR at Mama Melrose. Our priority for this night is to see Osbourne Lights. We will do whatever rides/shows work around those.
After we leave DHS, we'll boat to the Boardwalk. DD requested dessert from the Boardwalk Bakery since we didn't try that when we stayed at BWI. Then we will check out the decorations at BWI, YC and BC. We'll take the bus to DTD and then the boat back to POFQ.

Friday 12/7 - breakfast at POFQ then over to AK. Contemplated skipping AK and going back to DHS to ride what we missed on Thursday, but DD voted that down as she doesn't like to skip parks. (Of course, she may change her mind and then we'll switch it up.) At AK, our list is some combination of: EE, safari, It's Tough to Be a Bug, maybe Nemo show since we haven't seen it, maybe Flights of Wonder as DD doesn't remember seeing it, and maybe Dinosaur. Plus we definitely want to see Santa Goofy!!

I wish we could see the parade but don't want to stay that late at AK with MVMCP that night. Maybe we'll take a break at the resort and then go back to AK for the parade and then head directly to MK?? Need to think about that. I love the normal parade at AK and suspect the Jingle Jungle parade is great

My parents may go shopping at DTD after AK. We all would like a little down time at POFQ before heading to MVMCP.
We have no ADRs this day. We want to see how the day goes. We are planning to eat a late lunch/early dinner before heading to MK, and then just snack at the party, so we don't waste party time. The parade and fireworks are our party priorities. Characters if we see a reasonable line. And a bunch of rides :goodvibes:

Sat 12/8 - Epcot day. We have a 9:45am ADR at Akershus and a 4ish ADR at La Hacienda as part of a CP package for the 6:45 show. A little bummed we got a narrator none of us knows (James Denton) but very much looking forward to CP. also planning to stay for illuminations. Our morning plan includes TT, Soarin and Spaceship Earth. we will be spending most of the day wandering WS and taking in the holidays.

Sun 12/9 - 7:45am ADR at Ohana. See Poly and GF decorations. Go to MK until we need to head back to POFQ to catch ME back to the airport :(

Excited and tired all at the same time!

OMG, I will NEVER get caught up on this thread! Last time I looked at it was about a week ago...or about 60 pages ago :rotfl2: Will try and do better and make sure I am reading daily ;)

SOOO, anyone else excited MNSSHP is almost over and that means MVMCP will be starting before we know it?? Then we can get all the party details :)

Me!!! Can't wait for all the details so I can start planning exactly how to use our party time! Also can't wait for the final park hours schedule to come out, but I know we've got a few more weeks to wait on that. Still, it's driving me nuts not knowing exactly what I'm dealing with as I have more than one ADR that may have to be tweaked depending on how much they change the current park hours!

Your plan looks great - reading it makes me excited :goodvibes

I hope you do decide to see Nemo, thats my favourite show at AK. Its like a professional theatre production and visually beautiful imo. I was unsure about it at first but thought it was cleverly done.

I hear the Jingle Jungle parade is well worth it ... but it if you don't get it done this time it means you have visit at Christmas again some day :teeth:

Your DD is a similar age to mine who will be 12 next month :)

I'm sure you will be very happy with James Denton (Desperate Housewives). I didn't watch the show but I follow celebrities (not in a stalkerish way ....well, not totally :p) and I have seen him on a few chat shows, really nice humble guy. He has a great voice, very smooth and I think he would be a very captivating narrator.

So should I skip the AK parade on purpose so I can go back at the holidays again soon? :lmao:
