I cut 4x6 white card stock, punch a hole in the corner and put it on a key ring. Every day I take off the signed cards and add new blanks as needed. Super easy and convenient to carry.

Then I just keep adding them to a couple 6x6 scrap book albums with the pics. I had pics of the albums on the Part 2 thread. I'll dig those out.

Cute idea. Have you seen the autograph pages at Disney designs - this is just one link - there are others

She really has some cute pages you can copy and print onto stock paper

Hi everyone! My name is Jason and I Just signed up and am happy to confirm our dates as 12/2-12/8. I'll be traveling with my wife and 2 girls, ages 6(7 when we're there) and 4. We're taking a family trip for the first time to DW. My wife and I had been there back in 2001, but not since. We're coming all the way from Alaska for my Daughters 7th birthday.

Basically I have no plans except for her birthday dinner. We made ADR for CRT on her birthday. Other then that I'm totally lost on what we need to do without coming home feeling like we missed out.

I'm looking at MVMCP and was strongly considering that. It's probably a dumb question, but is it worth it? I'm assuming it is as I know the kids would love it.

What tips do you guys and gals have that I can make my daughters birthday there one she'll always remember?

Word. Mother of a 21 yo dd. she's out of the house and in an apt....and I really like her now :)

:lmao: That made me laugh out loud!!

Mine is 11 - overall I cannot complain she is actually (for now) a very good kid BUT she now has a bit of an attitude, with me only of course, and I tease her about how I'm sure she's gonna be a Goth with the whole 'the sky is falling' attitude :teeth: I just know its only gonna get worse :rotfl2:

Mind you, whats really bugging me now is her whole 'straight' attitude, I wanted to take her to get a purple streak in her hair and she said no  her other friends are begging for them. :rotfl2:

Oh, and she says I'm not allowed those legwarmers  She's so bossy

I haven't received email confirmation of payment from Disney but I can see they have taken the money ... how long did everyone elses take?

Hi Jason and welcome :woohoo:

Wow! Alaska! How cool :)

You have come to the right place for help - we will all be twitching to help you as we've all finished our own schedules for the most part!

IMO, MVMCP will be very worth it (its my first one) but just the atmosphere, christmas parade, Wishes will make it a very special evening.

So, you're starting from scratch!

I think, being Christmas & your daughters birthday, concentrate on the special events Disney put on at this time - your daughter will definitely enjoy MVMCP (MK) & Osbourne Lights (DHS).

What is your rough plan or are there any 'must do's' that you have?

Oh, and don't forget to read Post #2 - Tofubeast has loaded us with incredible information to help us plan :)

You better be careful how far you go with trying to "edgy" her out. I taught middle school for 2 years. And right before the Summer break, I heard a couple of the moms talking about taking their 14 yr old girls to New Hampshire to get mother/daughter tatoos (or go to tatoo parties). They felt it would be a bonding experience.

Now... If she wanted to get a Dis-friendly tat, that could be a different story.

Yup, not upgrading! I can use that $400 somewhere else, like spending!

I'm trying to find other ways to cut costs but not sure what else to do. We're already staying value, free QSDP upgraded to DDP. Tips & some spending, that's about it! :thumbsup2

& yea, I think my lunch on DHS day is going to be a cupcake, lol. Red Velvet to be exact!

Help me choose my 2 TS credit meal. Should I keep Le Cellier or Narcoossee's?

I would keep Le Cellier!

Ok that comment on DD moving out and now you like her is funny BUT Wow can I relate!! My DS19 had to move out b/c he wouldn't accept house rules we argued constantly.. Now we get along great! Lol

Realistically the only must do on our agenda is the birthday dinner. Everything else is wide open lol. We'll be getting in early on the 2nd so I'm thinking of tackling a quieter type park to settle from the jet lag. I would consider doing 2 days at MK with the kids since we will most likely have to take a break.

I really need to step up my research game and get it figured out. We're actually leaving on the 8th to go to a Philadelphia Eagles game down in Tampa then heading back to Orlando. My wife thought it would be neat to stay at the new Princess Tiana rooms since its my youngests favorite princess.

I'll have to sift through the remainder of this thread, as lengthy as it is.

I think that's the way I'm leaning. We've ate at Narcoossee's the last 2 trips & I've never had Le Cellier! Narcoossee's is the only resort meal besides QS at Pop, so I'm thinking I'll find something else for that night.

Wow, I missed a few days when the roll call got moved over to Part 3 and we're already at 45 pages ??? I don't know if I can keep up with you guys!!! :)

Is sooo awesome that you have CRT for her birthday! Be sure to mark it on everything and get her a birthday button at either the park or your resort! I think you should try the party, I would but they are over before we get there. 2 days at MK is a great idea for their ages!

The thing about me, I tend to research a lot lol. I just haven't started yet!

Here's one for you...

Aside from the CRT I honestly have no idea where to eat. Thankfully my kids are not picky eaters, but I just don't know where to go. Do you have any recommendations? If so please tell what they are spelled out if possible. I read through the thread like a total newbie and only know what about 50% of the abbreviations stand for lol

Yeah we will definitely get her set up with a button. I hope she enjoys the CRT, but her real favorite Princess is Rapunzel. Is there anything Rapunzel specific that we need to know about while we're there?

There's a free shipping code if you order any Disney Parks merchandise today...

Me, enable more shopping, no, never :rotfl:

You guys are horrible, I just talked my mom into spending 50 bucks on 2012 shirts. I got a shirt the Donald Shirt for her, her favorite character is Donald, the purple long sleeve 2012 girl shirt for DD, and a blue 2012 men's shirt for DS and a 2012 pin for DS's pin collection.

Enablers all of you. :rotfl:

Ok so I'm looking at my ADRS and well I'm not sure they are going to work. I think some of our breakfasts are scheduled way too late. I need to fix this.

What type of meals are you looking for? Are you looking at going to resorts or stay in the parks? Are you looking for sit down meals or quick meals?

Welcome Jason!

When we went in June, I picked places that had variety like buffets. Most of the kids menus are ALL.THE.SAME. It stinks because chicken nuggets and mac and cheese can only be done so many times. Buffets allow you to have a variety. We enjoyed Liberty Tree Tavern (LTT) at Magic Kindgom (MK), Crystal Palace (CP) at MK, Ohana at the Polynesian. These were all great and the kids weren't confined to the basic kids menu.

Look up family style meals (or something like that) and you'll see more options.

Another two I'd heard good things about is Cape May and Hollywood and Vine.

Have a great trip!

Ok...do you have the dining plan? Do you want sit down table service (TS) meals? Are you looking for character meals? Lots of people love to get an ADR (advanced dining reservation) before a park opens for breakfast, for empty park pictures and jump on lines. Give us some more info, we can help. My plans are pretty set, so playing with someone else's should be fun! If you don't have the dining plan and don't want to be tied to TS, we can help with counter service too. ;)

Welcome to the enablers and ADR tweaked club. There is a 12 step program, but we ignore it. Lol

Okay from reading the last 60 pages of the Part 2 thread ...

tltorrez - So glad your FIL was cleared to go on the trip by the doctor. Now you can let go of the backup plans, right? Or it sounds like its a hybrid now?

levenhopper - Interesting change of choice in majors. Glad you're happier with your choice now, school is so much easier when you really want to be doing what you're going for ...

DisneyDreamerMN - Yay for an upgrade! I'm jealous I want to stay at WL too ... but there's like 3 more resorts I want to stay at and only this one trip, so we had to go with the top 2.

cybrkitn & SAT887- We'll be in AK on parade taping day too. I thought it best to avoid the craziness. Most of the day in AK anyhow, then going over to Epcot just for a Garden Grill reservation at 7p. And cybrkitn you're going to think my family is stalking yours since we'll also be in HS for the pm EMH on Dec 2.

ValGoof - yay for more spending money! I'm sure you'll be really happy with Pop, and there's always more trips for the Deluxes.

and finally from the last few pages of Part 3

DisneyGuess - Also in the non-upgrade more OOP-camp. We're doing all OOP, except for one day, since DVC isn't eligible for any free dining, and its really nice to have some meals be flexible about what you want to order, whether you want to share, etc. And more spending money is always good.

jwgm2012 - Apologies for the braggadocio. ;)

molitiva - Just so stunned that I came home with more $$ than I left with. That's insane on a Disney cruise, I seriously considered getting a massage at the spa or something, but in the end I just thought I'd rather be able to spend more at the World in December ...

Okay, now off to read pages 2-42 of Part 3 ...
