Part Seated at More Than One Table?

We've been making ADRs for years and are in the process of making them for next year's trip. I had already made several online and today completed one for Kouzzina. When making the online reservation and also when I received an email confirmation, the following message was included:

Please note that your party may be seated at more than one table.

Ours is a party of only 4 and I don't recall every getting this note before. Has anyone else run into this for such a small party? If so, is there really the possibility that our family would be split across 2 tables. I would think not and would find another restaurant if that were really the case.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Curious to hear responses.... I've had the same message come up while booking January ADRs for a party of 3.

Last year we had a party of 7-10 people and went to many ts restaurants and we were never split up, we were there the week before Xmas too. You should be just fine!

Just remembered the only time we were split up was at scifi diner and it was 4 per "car".

Don't worry about it. It's a standard disclaimer that shows up frequently just in case the restaurant needs to split up your group. It's even shown up on reservations for one. The only time it might happen is if you're a large group such as 7 or more and even then they will try as much as possible to seat everyone together.

I got it when I made out Liberty Tree Tavern reservation. We're a party of 6.

Because some Disney Programmers and their Supervisors are idiots!

I have received the same notice when I have reserved as a party of one. That I may be split up at separate tables. If that was done to me (a) I would be extremely annoyed, and (b) because of all the blood and guts all over the place it would clearly upset the other diners1

I got that message on some of our ADRs for our last trip and our party of 6 was never split. It's just a standard disclaimer.

I have had the message several times with my party of 3 and we have never been split. I wouldn't worry about it.

I get that for more reservations than not since we became a family of 5, but we've never been split up yet (through 2 trips and 30-some ADRs). So I wouldn't give it much thought.

It all depends on how they split you up. If they do it right, you won't feel a thing, much less have any thought to be annoyed ;). Of course, they'd certainly be out a returning customer (and then some in your case).

(And yes, I've gotten it for one as well)

However, with the new credit card rules the information becomes more significant. You are being informed that your party may be split up. If you have reserved with a credit card, arrive to find out your party of four has been split between tables and you refuse, according to the new policies you run the risk of being charged for failure to cancel according to policy.

Just sayin'.

Disney tells you information for a reason. It's best to understand that what they are telling you could come to pass, and since you've been forewarned there won't be much you can do about it.

for our grooms dinner before our wedding. We made ressies 180 days out at O'hana for 16 people and expected to all sit at one of the long tables but they split us up into three separate groups and it made it hell getting the bills together and receiving any service at all.

for parties 4 or less it's not a big deal...but larger parties...it's a blind shot from the deep rough..

Ugh, I hadn't even thought of it from that angle. That does put a rather different spin on it, doesn't it?

We are a family of 7 and we get this all the time. We've even had to make ressies under 2 different parties at the Plaza because they only have tables for 5 or less (that's what the podium guy told us?). Anyhow...we've never been split up, although they've had to make us wait from time to time past our ADR time so they could clear another table and push them together. We even heard a waitress complaining out loud about our party size at the Plaza this year, saying she could NOT seat 8 people and that he (podium guy) would have to call us back up and tell us that it would be another 30-45 minutes before she could get us in the same area with the same server (since we were on one ticket). I found it rather rude...and we were still standing right there so I kindly informed her that we were a party of 7 not 8 and she walked us right in to where they had already gotten 2 tables pushed together with 7 chairs. We wouldn't have minded being separated at two tables....but we did ask that we have the same server so we could pay one time if they could do that.
