PART FOUR!! *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

DFIL is a movie buff so we were hoping we might enjoy DHS more through his eyes. But Plan B has us going to do TSM, Muppets (refurb), Jack Sparrow (new), Ralph (new) and Star Tours (closed last time). Then leaving and coming back in the evening to see Fantasmic/Osborne Lights. We didn't hate it but it was definitely a do-once park for us.

That's funny - your Plan B is pretty much exactly the same as our Plan A for DSH this time around! We've got an afternoon scheduled on the 20th to hit Muppets, Jack Sparrow, Star Tours and Osborne Lights and then will be going for EMH on the 22nd solely to get in as many rides on TSM before the line backs up too bad as possible.

Personally, I could skip TSM in favor of getting to Epcot at rope drop on the 22nd to ride Soarin' and TT before our Akershus ADR, but TSM is sissy's favorite ride and I'd NEVER hear the end of it if I so much as suggested skipping it this trip.

DBF said "no, those are at night too"... so I said, "ok, then let's get the souvenier shopping done at DTD and walk through there until we go to MK" and DBF says, "no - after dark too"...

I finally responded with "Look. I'm giving you MK after dark, we are not nocturnal creatures and we cannot do EVERYTHING after dark... We WILL go out during the day, we WILL see daylight in the parks and you WILL have a great time!"

Boom, done...

Hi All,

This day completely sneaked up on me - as we had our lives put at a standstill (live in Hoboken, NJ for those of you watching the Hurricane Sandy aftermath - my DD's school has been destroyed and it was like a warzone for a while in our city).

Anyway, we have our dates for 11/30-12/3 (booked 3 months ago). Gonna hit up MK on 12/1 and take advantage of the crowdless park as everyone watches the parade filming (did it last year, had a blast). Does anyone know if the park opens earlier than what is mentioned on the website (MK says to open at 9:00am) for those getting roped off as parade watchers (I can't remember what we did last year, but it was early enough to move away from Main Street).

Just found this thread! I will be coming with DW and another couple Dec 15-21 (BCV for the first three days then BLT for the last three). We're doing MVMCP for the first time Dec. 18!

We went last year before Christmas with the same couple and had a blast! We're looking forward to being back again this year!!

I know, I know - it's gonna be soooo hard, but I think it'll be worth it...

So rather than head straight to MK, we're gonna do AK first and get that out of the way. It's not a favorite for either of us but we do want to try and do EE, the bird show, and if we can, a safari... I'm thinking an ADR at Yak and Yeti might be in order! OOhhhhhh, for sure! (that just popped in my head, hence the excitement) the cream cheese eggroll dessert is on my list

Good Afternoon! Hope everyone is having a good day so far. This morning I was up bright and early to meet a friend for Breakfast at Shady Maple Smorgasboard (a HUGE buffet), since it's my birthday my meal was FREE! BONUS! So we chatted and ate and chatted and ate some more. I won't need to eat for a WEEK! Well I came home and my boys weren't home from my Mom's yet so I decided to stalk ADRs in hopes that Birthday Pixie Dust was around and oh my goodness was it ever. I got both CRT and CP (MK) to show for 835am!! But it was asking me to pay in advance for CRT. Knowing I was using my dining plan I didn't want to pay over $100 OOP right now (even though I would have gotten it back) so I called Disney Dining to ask what to do. So the CM searched and actually found me an 805 at CRT for 12/5. AHHHHHH!!! I snatched that baby up! She was so surprised that she found 2 breakfast ADRs and a few lunch ADRs for CRT for the same day....someone is doing some major cancelling or replanning. But Pixie Dust for me I finally got my pre-park opening ADR for MK! I am beyond excited and my planning is OFFICIALLY done. We will end up having to rearrange some of our dining and pay OOP for at least one meal so I am off to figure out which meal would be cheapest to pay for. Anyone hoping for an ADR, get on there today and check....you never know what may pop up!

ok, I haven't caught up on today's post yet but wanted to let anyone going the first week in December that I found a 9am CRT and an 835 CP breakfast reservations for 12/5. I actually scored an 8am CRT for that same day. The CM I spoke to at Dining was astounded at how many CRT's she saw open for that specific day. So either someone was making major cancellations or something, I have no idea. So if you are still stalking get on there and check it out!!!!

Interesting. That's the day they cancelled MSEP. I wonder if people cancelled because they shifted to a different day.

Since I'll be spending my honeymoon in the world, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for things I MUST do (with a focus on the romantic/surprising for the new wife.)

I already have a holiday sleigh ride booked, and informed all dining reservations that it's our Honeymoon.

Unfortunately, we're staying at Bonnet Creek so I can't do anything in room Disney magic.
