Hi, everyone! I'd like to add my name to the list. DH and I will be arriving on 12/10 and leaving on 12/15 - without the kids!!! We're staying at CSR and it will be our first vacation alone since before my oldest was born, over 13 years ago. We're excited!

It's also our first time in December, which is one of the reasons I booked this trip. I've always wanted to see the Christmas decorations and it's my birthday week. Yay!

We're planning to go to MVMCP on the 13th, although I haven't bought the tickets yet. I'm trying to hold off until closer to see what the weather will be like. I just hope it doesn't sell out before I purchase tickets. We're also thinking about doing one of the holiday tours, but we haven't confirmed that yet.

I'm sure we'll see some of y'all there!

Welcome to the group!

Welcome. This is a great thread. Lots of great information and really nice people. :goodvibes We're arriving on the 12/7, leaving on 12/15 and DH and I are celebrating our birthdays too. We are going to MVMCP on 12/11. Can't wait. :yay::yay:

Same as our party night!

Good morning, I don't blame dh for wanting to keep those two! I have O'hana envy re: your 9:15pm adr!!! We stumbled upon a free table there in 2008 around that time...and were treated to dinner with Wishes right outside the window and the music piped into the restaurant speakers...it was one of the most magical nights ever! I hope the timing turns out the same for you!
Our plans overlap a bit: Mon: MK and Tues MVMCP. However, I think PM EMH at Epcot is Friday, not Thursday...I hate that one of us has it backwards...but, better to catch in now, than on that day! Where did you find your hours...just checked my WDW hours app and mine says Epcot EMH is Friday, 12/14. :scared1:

I'm excited to see Wishes from so many different vantage points this trip! We'll have O'hana, Narcoossee, Cali Grill, the Dessert Party, AND MVMCP Wishes! <- that really gave me butterflies in my tummy!

Your post reminded me we will be having our first night dinner at Narcoossee's which is in GF! I was trying to figure out how I was going to find time to get there and I already will be! :cheer2:

Squee!!! Does anyone know how late I can buy the gingerbread there? I need to get some to bring back.

I'm going to require some gingerbread too! I love gingerbread and am quite excited about this cupcake I saw at Disney Food Blog......

Thank you. I kind of excite myself when I start to reminisce/look forward to the trip. But what really gets me excited, is that it is only 29 days til I board a plane and 30 til we (you, me and our parties) check-in and awe at our POR-Royal Guest Rooms... :goodvibes
I've been in excited mode for a while. But this past weekend really set it in motion. BDLsgal and I watched the non-stop Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel :santa: (except when I clicked over to check the football scores. Shhhhh... don't tell her). I have the DVR set up to record the Trans-Siberian Orchestra special on Monday (consistently an AWESOME concert to go to). And I full plan to watch the HGTV Behind the Magic atleast 2 more times before my trip

I think I'm going to have to search HGTV for Behind the Magic. Does it air regularly? Also, I'm always wanted to see TSO in concert. My sister goes nearly every year.....I hope to hear Manheim Steamroller on Dec 8th while we're at Universal and I do love them as well. For some reason tonight I'm really getting tummy flutters thinking about our trip. I honestly don't know how I'm going to get through the next 30 days with my sanity intact!

Good Wednesday Morning. Yay to no more political ads, I'm still ignoring the political talk on Facebook. Can't wait till that stops. Today we are forecast for another nor'easter and 3-6 inches of snow. Luckily the roads aren't cold enough to really (hopefully) cause to much of an issue. I think we are going to make up for mild temp and no snow from last winter.

I can't believe how busy things are getting around here. This weekend luckily we don't have anything. But starting next week it gets crazy. Mops, Breaking Dawn, Hershey park, thanksgiving at my aunts, thanksgiving here, then the next weekend we are spending with our boys before we leave!!!

Oh my goodness I listed out all my upcoming events and forgot my own birthday!!!!!

Its tough. I am a very vocal person, I have passion about A LOT of things from politics to sparkles. But, I accept everyone for their passions no matter how different they are from own (unless they are being mean/evil etc) because that is what makes the world go around and, sometimes we learn great things from one another if we just shift our perspective for a moment.

And other times, events like this make us realise or understand whether a friendship is actually real or not. Hope you get it sorted, either way x

An inch of snow still requires warm jammies (and chocolate) :goodvibes

It's true if everyone believed and behaved the same we'd have a community of Stepford Wives! My hubby is from the Cleveland area and he loves snow. I'm mostly from STL and me, not so much. I don't have warm jammies (i tend to get hot flashes at night) but I did buy some Minnie pj pants at Old Navy on clearance! They are washed and packed in my suitcase already ;)

I know!!! Can't wait! The rooms look gorgeous. Also, the entire POR resort has been refurbed in the last year so it will be looking nice and fresh :) The lobby looks great :goodvibes

I have a question for POR folks! This is for Terri too as I know she made that beautiful garland! Where in the room should christmas garland be placed? I'm not sure what I'm putting in the window but I'm thinking maybe some garland in the bathroom over the mirrors? So many choices!

Who would argue about loving sparkles? :confused3;):lmao:

I'm house sitting for a family friend today thru Sunday. They have a hot tub with a cover, so I could relax in it tonight even with the snow falling, with a mug of hot chocolate on the table next to it. Note to self: pick up hot chocolate on my way there after work! :goodvibes

I made hot chocolate today after work with Ghiradelli cocoa, milk, and sweetener.......then I added a drop of peppermint oil :) Then I put it in my coffee :) I was missing the whipped cream, though. :(

Sounds yummy. But I think I'll opt for some hot apple cider, spiced and spiked of course. :)

A wonderful warm beverage choice as well! Hot cider with some Captain Morgan's spiced rum would be lovely!

Tomorrow is DS's 5th birthday. My boss has a cookie business on the side, and I commissioned her to make Avengers cookies for his class treat. They turned out excellent:

He's going to be so excited!

It's been a cold drizzly morning in WI, but it's slowly turning to snow....

Those cookies are amaizng!

Oh, I just posted a picture of that gingerbread cupcake.....I didn't see your post. I'm not sure any of you knew this but I tend to get verklempt over cupcakes.......ok.......talk amongst yourselves........

Seriously? There's a list? :eek:If you could post that would save me a lot of digging around!:thumbsup2

Hubby and I love Coke Zero too!

LOOOOVE MOPS! Helped me survived the preschool years. Now that we are in the TWEEN almost TEEN stage, I just need a drinking group. Or rewind back to preschool. :lmao:

It gets better! My kids are 20 and 21 (almost 21 and 22 yo).....we are empty nesters (at least while ds is still in college)

If they extend opening hours at DHS then there will be a second showing of Fantasmic at 8pm - at the moment I have my schedule sorted around a 6.30 showing with dinner after, I would rather have dinner earlier and see the 8pm showing :)

And I'm the opposite! I'm counting on a 8pm Fantasmic for our late EMH on Dec 9th........Osbourne Lights first......get a gingerbread cupcake....ride a ride or two or three........lose cupcake on ToT.......watch Fantasmic at 8pm........50's Prime Time Cafe at 9pm.

I'm rearranging my ADRs. I got a Fantasmic package for Mama Melrose. I realized the one I booked yesterday was for November 15th. Wishful thinking? :rotfl:

Why can't I just leave well enough alone?

I am going to Saratoga Springs both times. You pay after you receive the service :) I think the cancellation policy is 4 hours. I think the website is relaxedyet.com. I went there last year and it was great!

Hm......wondering if we could pull this one off.....just not sure what would be a good time. I mean we'll be like jello afterwards, right? I would think we'd have to go back to the room and sleep afterwards!

Sad news: I don't think Abby and I will start dating while we're in Disney.

Good news: We're dating now! :yay:

I wish I could say that it happened in a really special/unique/romantic way, but it was surprisingly low key. We we texting all day while I was at work, and out of the blue she texted me "how about we finally make this official? we talk all the time, we're practically dating as it is."

:dance3:

Oh em gee!!!!!!!!!!! I read your first line and my heart sank a little. I was like this: :( Then I read your second line and I was like this:

I feel like a happy mama!

Have you ever had a massage before? I have, though not at WDW, and can tell you that you are not so much Jello after, though you do feel very different. If you had bad knots you might actually hurt a tiny bit after, though that quickly fades. I have usually been somewhat tired after. You probably don't want to do anything strenuous afterward.

The biggest piece of advice to prevent pain after a massage? Drink tons of WATER. I got a year long, once a month massage membership beginning of 2011 as a gift. I drank lots of water after all but one, and that was the only one where I had some pain afterward for a few hours. Don't get me wrong, it still feels great after, but the water helps re-hydrate your muscles from all of the movement, keeping them from getting sore temporarily as they "recover" from the massage. Does that make sense??

Meeks...asmovies..12/3-12/11

Welcome to the group!

I need y'all to help me (and I know you're good at this stuff). . .

I've been thinking about MVMCP AND the PP+, but DH says we need to pick 1... what would you do?

I'm leaning towards MVMCP again and just getting one good family photo like we did last year. I'm so torn...HELP!

I would say MVMCP. You can always bring your camera and ask the PP take a picture with your camera.

30 days! I just got asked to sub indefinitely today, so...I can say 17 work days!

I told DD's teacher about our trip today. She was fine with it, as I suspected she would be. DD is only in first grade. I told her that I hadn't told DS's teacher yet. He's in 4th grade, and they used to be co-teachers. She made a face, so I take it that my fear of DS's teacher's reaction is justified.

Oh, and the class I am in for a while is the one I mentioned last week--the, um, challenging one. A vacation at Disney World will never feel so good!

 That which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger!

I don't see that you're following me. What's your twitter and I'll follow you!
@ksromack.

I have never had a massage! Up until a few months ago I never thought I could have someone other than my husband touch my feet! :scared1: I had my first pedicure last June. I'm still a little weirded out by the whole thing but I know dh would love a couples massage. I may have to do something like that closer to home.

Congrats dude.

Ok... Down to business. Who had "they will get together before the trip" in the levenhopper will they/won't they pool? I think the Kitty got up to $600.

Just kidding man. Good for the both of you. Can't wait to hear how you kids do down there.

12/3-12/11

We overlap a bit - 12/7-12/13 :)

Thank you for the Public Service Announcement. LOL!!

You're welcome :teeth:

I'm safely home. Went to the grocery got the necessities including ice cream.

I took a nap with my microwave heating pads to get warm and now I'm in my bunny feetie jammies (love that Target now carry these!) covered with two blankets on the couch. I'll probably work from home tomorrow.

It's kinda pretty, but it was getting slippery out there when I got off the bus.

:thumbsup2 You sound very cosy :goodvibes

I literally just said oh. Em. Gee. Really LOUD!!! And did a little dance in my SEaT!!!!!

I know!! Such exciting news for us :yay:

Nobody touches my feet .... seriously, NOBODY. I'd rather be stabbed with a pencil.

Wow I give you credit. I sub teach, but usually I don't stay in the "challenging ones" more than a week before I move on ... Good luck!

Our reservation is a little messy at the moment. We check into AKV Jambo on Dec 25. We are in a Value studio until the 29th when we move into a standard, then BACK into a Value for the 31st. We check out Jan 1 and are staying for 2 nights at Best Western Lake Buena Vista on DH's Best Western points. We check into OKW on Jan 3 until Jan 6 when we head home. Like I said - MESSY. But still I am okay with messy :)

I am still checking DVC constantly to make it work out better. One step at a time!
Sounds like its close to being pretty neat though; all you need is that one night in a value studio instead of the standard at AKV, then its only 2 moves. Fantastic that you were able to grab value/standard at all at these late dates. Right before the 30 day mark hopefully you'll see some people let go of stuff, too.
I was hoping to get an OKW or SSR on rented points for Dec 6-9, which has been available for awhile(for my friends who are staying at a value since I'm out of points). I finally found somebody to rent me points at the right price last week right before Sandy, but he's been without power since the storm hit and the 1 bedrooms at those two resorts are now gone. There's a night here and there at each and AKV but none with those three nights so they'll have to stay value.
It'll be our little Disecret!! :ssst: Positive thoughts though that it happens for you. On my end he already knows what ring I'd like.
One of my BFFs is friends with him (she's also an ex), she just got engaged and her, I and him. ended up discussing rings. I found a gorgeous black diamond with blue diamonds on the sides. It's under $2K. I know his mom would love it but he's not the commitment type. I'm the first girl he's lived with and the first that's not an open relationship. And that's been part of the problems. Another mutual friend had commented if he had bought the ring yet and that's what prompted the he hadn't even really thought about it. So.. I don't see the ring (or proposal) coming anytime in the future.

(sorry for the brain dump and if it was TMI)

OMG! NO! Not sure what would be showing but if I was pg we'd have some HUGE issues. :scared1:
Wow, going from open relationships to living together is quite a big step for him! Definitely sounds like you'll have to be patient if you want a long term commitment but if its right it'll work out in the end.
I must be doing something wrong because I can't find you on pinterest. :( I'm ksromack on there, I think. I mainly pin recipes, disney, and scrapbooking :)
I cant find you either ... not sure why. You can also just search by my first name (which is my DIS name, taaren) ... or maybe I should just friend you on FB then we could find each other easily ...
