PART FOUR!! *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

I just saw another post that said some people are received emails offering upgrades to their rooms. The people are arriving in December and some were at LM rooms at AoA and POR. Not sure if anyone would get one but might want to check your email. I'd love an upgrade (but I know that's probably not gonna happen staying at POP). Hope someone gets some pixie dust.

I wonder what the reasoning is....maybe the POP Warner group?

Followed. :)

I have all WDW stuff and a few others right now. I think I like the idea of keeping it more to myself. Facebook is annoying with public drama :)

I follow scrapbookers and Disney stuff. Some family follows me but most family and friend drama is over on FB. I check that about once a week.

I'm trying to figure out if a crowd prediction of a 4+ vs a crowd prediction of 1 is worth switching my days/plans for ... Either way its under 5, which should be pretty okay right? I like that all of my days are predicted to be pretty calm. Its just so odd to me that the parks would vary so much ... in California, usually both DL and CA are busy unless there's a special event in one or the other since everybody always hops ...

It does somewhat depend on the parks but generally I don't worry much about anything under a 4. Over that I start looking for alternatives. But I should point out that my crowd tolerance is low, especially for parades. I do love MK on a 1 day. You can definitely get a lot more done than say, a 4-5. But that doesn't mean a 4 is horrible by any means. DHS on the other hand doesn't vary much, rarely goes below 3.5 or above 5. AK is similar but regardless of the crowd, on a non-EMH day most people bail by early afternoon, so the park gets empty again no matter the level.

I just booked a sleigh ride at the campgrounds! I'm so excited. I had wanted a saturday booking because we are dining at Artist Point but saturday was all booked up. :( Thankfully I pretty much had left sunday open for activities.....I have a Kona breakfast to catch anything we wanted to do at MK, then Via Napoli lunch, just because (I had planned to walk over to ESPN to catch a football game but we do that every sunday around these parts so no biggie if we skip that).........We have Cali Grill late that night so we'll just take a little boat ride to Ft. Wilderness first ;)

Does anyone know if they sell wine/champagne at the Outpost? I think I already have my flat corkscrew packed ;)

That sounds like a really fun day :-)

Is anyone Disney Movie Club member? I want to know if it's worth it/if there's a value to it.

I considered this as well. I'm OLD school and have to replace ALL of my Disney VCR tapes. :rotfl2: I do have a little head start. I still need to find Snow White.....I can't wait to get Brave next tuesday! The problem is not all movies are available through that club. :( I think Mary Poppins is the only one I still need from there.

I just made our FINAL payment on our vacation house. Why does shelling out hundreds of dollars make me so giddy?:cool1::cool1:

I am but I don't know if I would consider it worth it.... When I first got it... It was great but I was living at home and had extra money now I rarely buy on there unless there is movie I couldn't find other places like Robin Hood cartoon and the great mouse detective. I just keep it because my entitlements are done.

Good morning peeps :) Its a beautiful morning here - a bit brisk but sunny. Its Saturday and now that Soccer coaching is over we have NO plans. Yesterday I bought some cool tiny picket fences with light up wreaths on them for our Christmas Village which got me in the Christmas mood :goodvibes

You guys have me semi freaked out over the coffee at WDW. I have some coffee pods but not near enough to keep us satiated during our whole trip. I have that type of coffee maker here at home and I can cut a regular coffee filter to make it fit in the pod side of the brewer. Should I bring my own coffee and filters? Is the coffee at the foodcourts that terrible? We plan to use one of our refillable mugs for coffee and one for a cold drink. I'm ok with 1-2 cups a day but hubby is grumpy if he doesn't have 3-4.

Be freaked .... its awful :rotfl2: They have new coffee machines at POR, look into getting some pods. I am still taking my own coffee machine because I have to guarantee my coffee - I like it strong. I drink (on a daily basis) Folgers Gourmet Dark so I'll be taking that with me.

I never had the coffee at the food courts... I think it also depends on your taste and preference... Maybe someone can offer some insight... However overall hard to find decent coffee... : /

Please don't. HA! It has hardly any flavour.

Have been playing with some apps and made y'all a little something....

Aww thats really cool! What app did you use?

It's so good to be on here again! Oh how I've missed Disney talk! I've been so busy I'm so glad that I made all my ADRs and plans early. I'm directing the Christmas program at church and a last minute Walk to cure Diabetes for or town. And here we are part four!

Welcome back :cool1:

I just booked a sleigh ride at the campgrounds! I'm so excited.

How exciting!

I know that last night was only the night of Osborne Lights, but has anyone seen any reports about Santa Goofy? I've seen the artist's rendering, but I'd like to see photos. I'm also curious about wait times, etc.

I don't think it's worth it most of the time.... Occasionally they have sales that make it worth it. I prefer to go to Amazon or Disneystore - it tends to be cheaper or at least a "perk" (free lithos, 20 off coupon) and shipping is much faster! Plus I now own Avengers bc i forgot to decline last month... Grr!

I drink lots of coffee too--- my current coffee is Parking Lot Panic :) it's a brand my co op produces and it's sooooo tasty. I plan on bringing some from home and also buy some from Whole Foods....

I think my New Years resolution is going to be to ditch the drama... I'm about ready for a little digital disconnect....

So I can get a 7 Passenger SUV (Ford Explorer) for $360 (includes all taxes) for the 8 days I am in WDW.... I am debating it because it is only $160 more than my current rental and there is 6 of us. My MIL will be getting a car as well- however I was thinking it would be easier to all travel as a group. Especially since my mom always needs a buffer (long story) and she has mobility issues and will be using a handicap placard (this way we can all park together bc we will be in one car) DH is actually the one who thought it was a good idea to do this... Any ideas? Our group consists of me, DH, DD3, DD1, MIL and my mom....

How much is their rental. If they don't get a car would it save money to share? Do you plan to do anything separate that would necessitate two cars? I'd do it or the ease of only have one car and being able to stay together.

The stores do have a lot in one of their tshirt sections. They are in cubacles all folded up. I know the mickey one was in there (for the mens), I did not notice the Grinch men's tshirt last weekend.

I just placed an order thanks to enabler! :rotfl2: There was a coupon code at the site that gave 20% off the entire order so I had to do it ;) I got hubby the Grinch shirt (the female version is SO MUCH CUTER)....More Cowbel tshirt, the O (for Ohio State) tshirt, a pair of plain black tshirts, a pair of undies, a pair of jeans, a pair of black cargo pants....and the only thing I got myself was the grey leggings. My total with tax and free shipping was $103! Let's hope the pants fit him but if they don't I would just have to take them back to the store to exchange.

You were busy shopping! But, you got a great deal for all that. It seems Old Navy is sending an online coupon every other day. I really wish they had in store coupons because I rather try things on! Oh well, I am sure I will make it out there this weekend and pay even without a coupon.

My mom and MIL need the car bc they are flying into Tampa... There rental is like $140 (through Hotwire non refundable) and we will need two cars a few times during the trip for activities.
