It looked like it could remind you to take pictures. Like you could somehow program it to say you wanted to take a picture at POTC and then when you are there it will (somehow) notify you to take a picture. I just quickly read over the description in between the chaos here. I could be totally wrong

That's what it looked like to me too. Don't need it for this trip, but it would have been a godsend if we'd had it for the huge family trip back in 2010!

I'm going to be trying to conserve my iphone battery as much as possible, which means little to no apps. Probably touring plans for wait times and that'll be about it (besides the camera)

I'm getting a T3i! I've always had Canons and wanted to stick with one, but really wanted to upgrade to a DSLR! I am beyond excited. I keep looking out the door for the UPS man! (Even though I know he won't be here till after 3 since that's normally when they're in our neighborhood.) stalking much?

I've never tried crystallized ginger, but would it work for pregnancy nausea? I'm not pregnant now, just thought it could be useful info. I should have bought stock in ginger ale when I was pregnant...and it's hard to come by at Disney World!

Also, try Sea Bands, it's basically accupressure.

Perhaps it's because I was a contractor for 18 years but even now, I don't ask permission for vacation. I just tell them when I'm going. If they had an issue, I guess they'd let me know but I've never had anyone have an issue. And I've more than once, started a new contract with a vacation looming. Once they asked me to wait until after I came back, but that was like one week after my proposed start date so it just made sense.

Hi all! We arrived yesterday. Great flight, waited over an hour for Magical Express. Arrived at Beach Club-the place is absolutely beautiful. Went to Epcot-did Ellen's Energy Adventure and Spaceship Earth. Had a wonderful experience at Teppan Edo-food was great and so was chef. Then the kids wanted to do Stormalong Bay-they had whole thing to themselves practically. Pennsylvania kids are hearty--lol. Off to DHS shortly. Oh and weather is perfect.

I'm glad you're having fun! Thanks for reporting back. Sorry about the wait for ME. I do hope that's not typical. DS20 may be taking that if his plane is late. Right now he is scheduled to arrive 30 minutes after us, but flying from Denver I always worry about weather delays.

Packing is about 90% done

Kids sneakers need to be packed...they fly with crocs just in case they have to remove them for security.

Bagels need to be packed for our first breakfast (we're at the HRH our first night and IOA our first day).

My glasses case needs to be packed (I wear contacts..but wear my glasses at night).

That about covers it.

Otherwise, we just need to load the car and leave.....

I flew to CA a month ago and forgot to take off my shoes- no one noticed and I went right through. Oops. From now on I'm going to tell them they're "TSA approved"

Wonderful! Is he planning to spring it on you at WDW? I would be beside myself wondering how he's going to do it.

Anyway, I'm glad you didn't say "Are you kidding?" like I did. DH never lets me forget that.

I am going to Disney in 12 days!!!! Yes, I am sure. DH called a few minutes ago. He still doesn't know where he will be working for sure, but he did confirm with his potentially new supervisor that he can take that week off with no problem. I knew she would be the sensible one in this whole mess.

Oh my gosh, more wonderful news. I'm so glad you're going now and not putting it off. Christmas is just such a great time to be at WDW.

Now this- this is the cupcake for me! I grew up in even more isolated boonies than where I am now, and the Butterfingers were always hard as a rock. Now that I can get good, fresh Butterfingers I can't get enough of them, they're hands down my favorite candy. We're going to DHS our first night, and this baby is going to be my first snack at Disney! Thanks for posting & hope you're having a great time.

Awesome! We're staying at RPR our first night (next sat)...can't beat it for early admission to HP and FOTL passes!

That's EXACTLY why we do it.

We're bringing my SIL (who is 11 years younger than my wife) on her first trip to WDW/Orlando, EVER. Even in her mid 20's, she's a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and we couldn't skip IOA, for her sake.

That's what I though too. I wasn't sure if I needed a reminder for $4, but then I thought I have to chase a 2 year old for the first time so maybe it would be useful. I'm undecided though on how much I'd use it. Thee is the whole drive to Disney I suppose to set it up.

It has been a great day!!!! Got my hair cut and colored (sorry, nothing dramatic) and texted with my HR friend while I was there. I have a job!! She is currently negotiating the start date and pay for me. She told me the range it would be and I would be fine with even the lower end of it, but she is trying for almost what I was making at my old job. The start date is currently 2/13, but she is trying to get that moved up. I told her that date is fine with me, if I know I get the job. So excited!!! I was hoping this would come through before we went to Disney, so DH wouldnt stress over every souvenir or drink purchased.

I am sick (again, still, forever?), but finally back at work. However, I've finally in single digits (9 days!!!), so that is fantastic. I also think I have everything I need to our trip, so hurrah! I'm actually going out of town this weekend, so I know that our trip is going to be here before we know it. I cannot wait.

I don't really have any room requests, except maybe to be at the end of the east wing by the secret door that's closest to the lake & the walkway. I was kind of hoping to get an upgrade if there were any to be had.

I have no idea what the benefits are. I did it anyways this morning. There was no option to pick a specific building (ASMu). There was an option for "close to transportation" or something like that. I selected it since I wanted to request the jazz buildings. Even when I submitted it, I got a prompt saying the special requests couldn't be processed and I needed to call. I called and the CM says they noted it on my reservation. However, I've seen reports that those requests can be lost in the shuffle if you didn't make the request when you originally booked. Either way, I'll survive
