I've never tried crystallized ginger, but would it work for pregnancy nausea? I'm not pregnant now, just thought it could be useful info. I should have bought stock in ginger ale when I was pregnant...and it's hard to come by at Disney World!

Light up Mickey necklaces? I am seriously missing out! I have been looking for window clings, but can't find any.

What day are you looking at? My DHS FP+ has TSM at 9:05 although that's an early EMH at DHS. We're going to try and get to TSM at RD, then ride again with the FP+

That was the morning I was looking at- the 15th. But we wanted to go over to EPCOT when it opened. I guess they aren't handing out FP+ at 8:00, but they could since everyone getting FP+ would be eligible for EMH.

So I set the DHS FP+ up for the 13th. If we feel up to it after arriving we could go over and use them, we're staying at the YC so it's not far. Might be an awesome way to start the vacay! Then catch the Osborne lights and go to bed so we can get up bright and early to hit MK the next day.

I do the same thing with our chinese take-out containers. They are great for leftovers. I already have them in a big plastic bag on top of one of the suitcases. I also found some cute MM light-up necklaces at Walgreen's. I have 2 of those for our MVMCP

So what does the crystalized ginger do? i have a little bit in a clear baggie for a cookie recipe. I don't care for the taste of fennel at all....but I do have Simethicone and Tums already packed.

The ginger calms an upset stomach. "It's been used to treat various types of “stomach problems,” including motion sickness, morning sickness, colic, upset stomach, gas, diarrhea, nausea caused by cancer treatment, nausea and vomiting after surgery, as well as loss of appetite."

I've used ginger a lot. I prefer crystallized or candied ginger. Ginger chews (with the otter on the package) do in a pinch but they don't seem to be as effective. Neither are ginger Altoids. I don't like ginger tea at all. But the Tummy Mint tea from Celestial Seasonings is pretty good.

I do have Pepto packed as well but I like using ginger or fennel when I can.

That said - ginger shouldn't be used with some medications.

Apparently DH really wants to go, so no solo trip for me. He asked tonight if the trip could be moved back to January, if his vacation gets messed up for December. So of course, I have been investigating January for the last hour. Those 2's and 3's are looking better than the 7's and 8's I have now. I didnt look for any ADRs yet. He said he would pin the boss down tomorrow and get some answers. We'll see.

Well, lower crowds plus DH would be a huge plus for me.

Supposedly it does. My midwife said it would, but thankfully I didn't have morning sickness at all.

I want a Mickey light up necklace too! I have standard glow stick stuff packed, including a glowstick wand (with star) from Target at Halloween.

Wow what a busy day today - trying to get all christmas decorations inside the house finished, also looking through all the lost/found pet ads at various shelters, craigslist etc .....

I go in 4 days (I think , ummm leave this Thursday with a stopover, arrive Disney on Sunday) so I really need to get doing something ..... checklist follows:

Suitcases - they are in the house somewhere.
Clothes we're taking - yep, I'm taking some. I'll scramble through the closet, drawers & laundry basket at some point, probably tomorrow.
Shoe organiser thingy that hangs over the door - this is GREAT for extra storage, hangs over a door, all your 'bits' fit in it. I bought one for the vacation. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IT IS
Toiletries - 'Spose I'd better buy some
Technology - camera charger in a drawer somewhere. I have lots of drawers.
Pets - all have food. We're good there.

As you can see, I am super organised

Weather now showing high of 78 and low of 50 for the next two weeks. Is it safe to leave the winter coat at home? We all have Disney sweatshirts or fleece.

I think it will be safe to leave the coat at home. Its slightly cooler in GA but I was just out on the back deck and my thick fleece was a bit too warm. Its fresh, a hoodie type thing will be fine if it stays like this.

DD received her birthday presents from my mom yesterday. One was a Merida doll with a bow and arrow. It was cute. DD said it was what she had been dreaming of. In the middle of the night, though, she let out this blood-curdling scream "Mommy! MOMMY!" Sick to her stomach? Bloody nose? No. She slept with her Merida doll, and the bow fell out of her hand, and she was afraid she had broken it. She's not dramatic at all.

I love girls!!!!

T-45 minutes (give or take). My mom is en route to our hose now and then it's on the road we go. I can't wait for the warm sunshine tomorrow. Can't wait for dinner at Raglan Rd tomorrow night.

H.E.L.L.O beautiful. I want to gobble up that cupcake right now! A Roaring Forks cupcake is on my list! I did sort of want to try that one, though......i wonder what other cupcakes they have?

I was thinking that was a long drive from Georgia! My in-laws leave our house in southeast Virginia Wednesday morning and arrive in Orlando around noon on Friday.

Thanks for the info. Mine wasn't that bad really & gingerale helped but I was always looking for other ginger products!

I got the boys Sorcerer Mickey spinners on sale at the Disney Store, but think the more bling the better!

Gah!! This would be KILLING me! But I'm non-confrontational too. I hated even asking for the time off (that I earned) to go. I haven't been in this job very long and I felt bad for already taking time off.

I once asked my employer for 2 weeks off to go to Disneyland/San Diego/Vegas and I had only been actually working there for 2 weeks! I'm pretty persuasive so I managed to talk him into letting me have the time off.

I love these shirts! How are you doing them? Is that an applique that you sewed on? I made 4 tie-dye shirts today but I'm not confident they will turn out. Do you want to share any hints on your shirts?

I did these on my embroidery machine. Yes they are applique.. Best place to get embroidery designs is froufroubyheathersue..... She's a diser with great designs.. i am doing my tie Dye shirts next weekend. 8 of them. I have done tie Dye before but I think I want to try the Mickey head tie Dye this time around. I I can't wait to see how yours turned out!

I thought the offer was left in your room the last day usually. Also, don't forget to call when you get back. I phoned Front Desk and asked if I could get a BB and they said they were handed out randomly, however, when I get home to call and tell them I was interested in a BB but wasn't left one and they will offer an alternative. I did phone and they offered a discounted trip (can't remember the % sorry) but I didn't know our dates at the time.

This was my first time ever attempting tie-dye.....and I did the MM heads too. It wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. Reading the directions I was all cocky thinking...."I'm crafty. I can do this"......I had a horrible time with the colors running into each other. I don't think it would normally be a problem but I made both of us a Christmas MM shirt and green + red = YUCK! We shall see......I'm letting them cure 24 hours. I'll see tomorrow!
