Part 2 - Family sleepover Discovery Cove

Hi all,

Because of all the extremely good reviews about Discovery Cove I decided I would make a booking (despite the price).

I went to their web site in order to make a booking and whilst trawling through it (costly mistake) I found that they also do a Dolphin Lovers family sleepover package!!!!!!!!.

Don't know how new this package is or how many of you have tried it- I await any information.

Basically though its like doing Discovery Cove but you get to sleep over the night before in a tent on the beach next to the Dolphin lagoon, dinner and activities included.

Needless to say the credit card achieved melt down!

Anyway it's now booked.

Can't wait

Yes I saw that. Sounds wonderful.

Lucky you could book that online as our Swim With a Dolphin Day is booked but trying to arrange the Birthday Special Occasion Package to go with it is a nightmare. It's the DH's birthday the day we're there and I'm keeping it secret from the entire family at the moment.

I keep calling (my international phone bill) and the switchboard puts you through to Guest Relations. This is always an ansaphone. They ask you for a ream of details (that's 2 phone calls just to note what they ask for) and say they will phone you back. They don't! And one of the ladies on the switchboard said you only ever get an ansaphone for them as they are always busy doing other things. Not taking bookings for Special Occasion packages, that's for sure!

They have so much of my money already I guess another $100 is neither here nor there to them

This is probably the worst 'service' I've ever experienced from a US organisation.

I don't know what number you are calling but when I called to upgrade my internet booking from 2 dolphin swims to 2 trainer for a day I got through straight away. I got the 'welcome to discoverycove and then a lady who was very helpful. I was on the phone less than 5minutes but only 15 seconds before I spoke to someone.

I'm calling the number I've got for international calls of whatever it was...011 407 370 1280

Anyone who's got a number that gets answered by a person, other than the main switchboard number above, and then not a machine do LMK. PLEASE!!!

When I was making our Dolphin Swim reservation online I called the number above and they said to call back on that one to book the Birthday package.

Is there an emoticon for steam coming out of the ears?

Doesn't help that I'm trying to keep this secret from 3 other people who are always always in the house....

Hi all,

Discovery Cove sent me a letter with the itinery for the "experience".

At the end of it its states that if there are any problems/questions about the booking to contact them:

1. 407-370-1378

or

2. E-mail them at - education@seaworld.org

I did finally get somewhere with it today and it's now all booked thanks to a very helpful young lady on the reservations number who kept going until she got me someone to speak too.

They just called back infact as the person who took the details got my credit card number wrong, DH answered the phone but he didn't catch who it was calling phew! Cat was nearly out of the bag then! Had to gallop up the stairs to the study to take the call out of earshot of the rest of the house.
