Part 10

Still April 27, 2005 (noonish)

We headed for the bus stop. Time for Downtown Disney.

First store we hit: the scrapbooking store. Bought a photo album for those couple hundred pictures I’d been taking. We then continued on to the Christmas store. For the first time in forever we didn’t come home with a Disney ornament (what were we thinking?!) We then continued on to Ghiradelli, for our chocolate fix (YAY for full sized samples). World of Disney came next.

Now if you haven’t been to World of Disney, go there sometime. It’s pretty cool. If you have been there, I’d like to congratulate you on making it out alive, without losing any loved ones permanently, along the way. That store is big. We went in for the first time last February, on the one and only day in 2004 I was able to convince mom and stepdad to set foot on Disney property. They can thank me for DVC in a way, since if we hadn’t gone to DTD, they wouldn’t have taken the tour. But I digress. Back to the World of Disney. We got in there and all 5 of us parted. While I’m browsing through the watches in the jewelry portion of the store, my cell phone rings, “Where are you and do you know where your sister is?” “No mom, but we’ve only been in here half an hour so chances are she hasn’t left the store yet”. Not kidding. This store takes awhile to get through.

We all finally reunite. I buy my watch (Eeyore). We go buy smoothies and decide it’s time to go back to the Lodge for some swimming. It’s hot AND sunny today. We haven’t actually been in the pool yet, and our week is half over. It’s time to change that.

After an eternity at the bus stop, we are headed for the Lodge. After a side trip to Typhoon Lagoon, we return back safely, deposit our purchases (and our lighter purses), and change to swim. Go fill those refillable mugs and finally enter the pool. It’s heaven. The sunburns have started and that cool water is wonderful. We spend a couple hours in the pool before returning to the villa, changing, and heading out for dinner. Tonight is girls night. Mom and stepdad are dining at Artist Point (which they enjoyed but thought was expensive….but they think Olive Garden is expensive…) so they gave us money and told us to have fun and be careful. We had a quick dinner at Roaring Fork, then took the boat to the Contemporary, and the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where we hopped on the monorail to Epcot. No parks for us tonight, but we wanted to do the Epcot loop. For those who haven’t ridden the Epcot monorail, try it sometime. It’s pretty nice.

When we got back to the TTC from our monorail loop we hopped the other monorail, and headed for the Magic Kingdom. We watched the masses of people pouring into the park for Extra Magic Hours, while we waited for the boat to the Lodge. Enjoyed the very peaceful ride back, then went up to the villa, changed, set that wake up call, and went to bed.

Up next Part 11
