Great deal running on parksavers, unfortunately undercover tourist won't price match.

My understanding is that once you purchase, you get the ticket number by email a few days later which you can then link to your MBs in MDE.

During the parksavers checkout, it is asking for a name- am I right in thinking it is ok for just the purchaser's name (my DH) be on all 3 tix, and then we can assign them to the correct person in MDE? (Myself, DH, and DD)...just want to make sure something doesn't go screwy and they are closed for the weekend.

Tia!!!

1. Yup. (Or, they just send you the tickets and you input the numbers.)
2. Yup. The name doesn't matter when it comes to USING the tickets.

thinking of using Parksavers for our next round of tickets to be used in April 2017. no actual ticket gets mailed home correct?

That's correct. They send you ticket vouchers via email. You can then link them to your My Disney Experience account. If you want actual tickets instead of using Magicbands you can redeem the vouchers at a WDW box office.

And that is when the name matters. The person who's name is one the voucher must be the one to pick up the tickets. Then they can be used by whoever.

our issue is that we still have 2days left on our nonexpiring hoppers. thinking we buy through parksavers and take the vouchers with us...once our 2days left are used up then turn voucher in for tickets? dont want sny confusion with the ones linked already.make sense?

You can do that but not necessary. You just visit Guest Services prior to entering the first day and have them prioritize the tickets so the ones you want to use first are higher priority.

have heard that, but part of me knows how guest services works sometimes, either they know what's up or give false info and cant help. makes me a tiny bit nervous. No need to worry at all?? I know that parksavers is cheaper by UCT by a little, only difference is UCT you get mailed an actual ticket. Figuring out our best move for next trip. We have been using 10 day park hopper nonexpire for the last few trips, that was the best idea ever. Those are a thing of the past now sadly

Guest Services does have it's faults but fewer than most any other dept. They aren't like calling on the phone and asking the CM there a question.
GS really is mostly on top of it and prioritizing tickets is something they can accomplish easily
If they did get it wrong you can get it corrected. Sometimes it's a bit of a PITA but it can be done.
Still, if you want to get the tickets once you arrive you can do that for sure. Just be sure whoever's name is on the voucher is going to be there.

If I were in your shoes, I'd go ahead and get the other tickets and use them first and save the remaining NE tickets for future use.

I'll say it even stronger:
It would be unwise and very costly to use both your older tickets -and- your newly-purchased tickets during the same trip.

You could actually be losing ("throwing away") hundreds of dollars.

we only have 2 park days left though???? and we would never be taking a trip that would only require 2 park days :( what is your best suggestion then Robo? I appreciate your input greatly. We always average a 8 day trip with anywhere from 4-6 days of parks. Going forward we wont be paying for the hopper option to save money. We have been using the 10 day tickets and used 4 days in 2015, 4 days in 2016, and now have 2 park days and 7 fun visits left! I take any and all opinions so we do not throw any money away!

Save 'em. They are worth well over $250 EACH.
They will only accrue in value.
You never know when you might get the chance to drop in a one or two day visit.

"Wow, I unexpectedly got the chance to go to Orlando and find I have time for a
half-day at WDW, but I can't afford to spend $120+ on a ticket..."
I see posts like that all the time.

And, WHY would you "gamble" that this MIGHT happen?
Because, as I said, each of your older tickets with 2 park days (and " 7 fun visits) is worth well over $250 each.

But, if you USE them during this trip in adjunct with new 7-day tickets, you render them worth a mere $20 each.
(Less than 10% of their potential current value.)
Isn't it worth $20 apiece to just HOLD those $$$ tickets?

makes total sense that way. Here I am already stewing that the oldest son will be away at college and not coming along anymore so his ticket will already be just sitting in a drawer... three of us will continue to go yearly till april 2019 when youngest graduates. so it will be long time before we may have a chance to pop down to orlando for a long weekend. But I guess we save them aside and buy 4-5 day base tickets for three of us. would it be ok to use a fun visit?

Yes. That's a great way to extend those non-expiring tickets even more.
