Parks? What Parks? We're Here for the FOOD!**PICS!** COMPLETE!

Ohhh, that chocolate fondue looks sooo yummy. I love dark chocolate too.

Love your pictures, even though they are making me very hungry. Thanks for posting. I can't wait to see more.:thumbsup2

Always nice to hear from a fellow dark chocolate lover! The fondue is FAB-O-Licious! If you are ever at Kona - You HAVE to get it!!!

Lots more pics to come! Stay tuned!

Great reviews and pics. I appreciate your detailed descpriptions. I love Kona Cafe. I chose it for my 40th b'day last year. Looking forward to the rest of your reviews.

Kona rocked. I really enjoyed it! Happy belated disney birthday!

We last left off finishing a meal at Kona Cafe --

We start this morning at Kona Cafe --

Okay, i know this is weird, but this ADR had been in the plans for ever. I considered the Tonga Toast, but really, I didn't think my digestive system would appreciate it so we considered the menu a little further. PLUS - DH wanted to get some decent coffee (he refused to drink the Nescafe Crap).

We decided to split an entree as we weren't really all that hungry... I mean for goodness sakes we were in this very restaruant less than 12 hours ago!

So we decided on coffee first...

Plain old boring black coffee for DH.

And... A Cafe Mocha for me.

Dh said the coffee was... good coffee. It was full of coffee-goodness - unlike previously mentioned Nescafe Crap.

However, the Cafe Mocha was awesome! It was perfect - not too sweet and not too coffee-ey. I loved it and finished it.

On another note, the waitress retrieved this little gem of a drink from the quick service stand just adjacent to Kona - so if you think you might like it, you don't HAVE to eat at Kona - Just stop by the coffee stand just inside the doors from the monorail platform.

For breakfast we ordered Eggs Benedict and a fruit cup.

Sorry, I took this picture AFTER we split it, but you can get an idea the size & what it looked like anyway.

I really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was perfect (and that's what Eggs Benedict is about... Right?) and we both finished our halves. The potatoes were good, just your average home fries like potato wedges. I liked them, especially in the sauce!!! The fruit was... not soooo goooood. The melon wasn't sweet at all and it was hard - like it wasn't quite ripe. We didn't eat all of it.

Breakfast was a good experience and I left there satisfied but not sick or stuffed.

We paid OOP for this breakfast, too, because of the way our dining credits were planned to work out.

Fruit Cup $3.99
Eggs Benedict $9.99
Kafe Mocha $4.49
Coffee $2.69
Total with Tax: $22.54
We tipped a little extra since our waitress served 2 people but only one entree.

Much more to come!!

My goodness, Ms. H ... you post your reviews so quickly that I don't have time to properly digest them. ;)

We had to cancel our pairing at Coral Reef, which pained me to no end because we did one there last year and it was fabulous! Sounds like yours was just as good - I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

We've never done Kona for dinner, but I'm thinking some day we'll have to rectify this dining omission - your food looks yummy!

Really enjoyed your F&W reviews, too. I still think that's the best part of the festival ... wandering around the World Showcase eating and eating and eating .... ;)

Looking forward to more.... especially V&A!! :thumbsup2

That pic of the Tuna Oscar at KONA sold me.........keeping that ADR for sure!

Enjoying your reviews and can't wait for more!!! :goodvibes

Thanks!! More should be up before too long!

Brenda -

Thanks for continuing to read along... I am also trying to keep up with The Damned. Time is short right now! Too bad you had to cancel the F&W pairing. We really liked it!

Kona is great & I highly recommend checking it out. Try the tuna!

V&A's is 2 meals away from the Kona Breakfast, so it shouldn't be too long.

Thanks for reading!

Kona is one of our favorites restaurants. We'll be heading back there in 29 days and have made another ADR for dinner at Kona.

I highly recommend it! Breakfast was really good (the coffee was the reason we kept this ADR!). Dinner was even better --

My only complaint was the slow service, but because DH and I planned a laid back trip we never worried about slow service or long dinners. Actually, we enjoyed them because we never have that opportunity at home!

Thanks for reading! I hope you like the rest, too!

I have heard it called many things on this board, but i have a MONSTER case of disney depression right now.

I know many of you can sympathize with me...

How do you get over it?

I can't start planning a new trip.... so what else can I do???

Thanks for reading along with me on my dining review. I hope to work on the next installment tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks.

Ms. H

Thanks for the reviews.

Sorry I can't help with your depression. All I know to do is book another trip and you said you can't. So sorry! :sad2:

We stopped for lunch at a VERY busy Pizzafari.

We split a Hot Italian Style Sandwich. It came with chips (you can trade for grapes) and a drink (we had lemonade). Dessert was chocolate cake.

Sorry, we ate part of the sandwich before we got a picture.

The sandwich was good. It was turkey, ham, swiss, provolone, ceasar salad, and pesto marinated tomatoes on an italian style bread. It was really good. It was flavorful and plenty to share. The cake was very chocolat-y and had a lot of icing on it. I thought it was good, but DH said there was too much icing, especially around the edges.

We used our DDP so we used one CS meal here.
