Ok, so I get it. The parks will be really busy on Veteran's Day as it's a long weekend. But it's my birthday! :)

Looks like Magic Kingdom will be the most insane (8/10 crowd rating and EMH)- that doesn't seem like my cup of tea, even though it's our first full day of our vacation. Thoughts? Or skip the parks that day altogether? TIA!~

Veteran's day falls on a Saturday so I think you are just seeing the normal weekend crowds being that it is the last weekend of F & W. We went when Veteran's day was on a Tuesday and the parks were crowded on Sunday and Monday. We spend that Tuesday at SeaWorld. It was a manageable crowd. Splurge for you birthday and spend Saturday a Discovery Cove! Or you could go to Animal Kingdom, which is supposed to be the least crowded.

We went last year when Veterans' Day was on a Friday. It was also the last weekend of Food and Wine, Election Day on Tuesday and Jersey Week. On Friday we were in AK and the crowds were manageable. We went to MK on Saturday and the crowds were a 9 at least - very crowded!
I say go, have fun and enjoy your birthday!

I've been to WDW over several Veterans Day holidays. its really not a big deal. The only possible exception would be Epcot's World Showcase because it marks the end of Food & Wine. Otherwise, the actual holiday doesn't seem to bring more people to the parks.
