Can someone tell me what the parks are like during the first 2 weeks in Dec?I've seen the Christmas things up after Thanksgiving and would love to go back but sometime during the first 2 weeks of Dec. and need to know how busy the parks are. We've been to WDW many different months but not Dec.,so any help would be great.

We are usually there from the day after Thanksgiving through the following Saturday and the only time that it's busy for us is that first weekend. But once sunday hits the crowds drop right off. We love going at that time of year. Will be back again this year!!! Hope this info helped. :flower3: pixiedust:

We were there the second week of December and the crowds were low. I loved it- walking onto rides, the deocrations and special shows.

We usually make an annual trip sometime during the first 2 weeks of Dec. It's great, crowds are low, not long lines for rides, plus the Christmas decor is beautiful. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas is a must! It's a great time to go!

One thing, the resorts may be booked full especially the value resort but its because of cheerleader competitions. They are usually in competition so parks aren't busy. If you are planning on going I'd book resort as early as possible if want to stay on property.

We were there Nov 30-Dec 10 and the longest we waited was 20 minutes for any ride. Lots of them were walk on. It's a great time to go and don't miss MVMCP

The first two weeks of December are a wonderful time to go. The Christmas Decorations are up and all the parks are decorated beautifully! They are decked to the nines only the way Disney can do it.

Besides how pretty the parks are, to me, the best thing about it is how realtively slow that time of year is. Between the weekend right after Thanksgiving and the week before Christmas is very slow waits for attractions in all parks.

Also, if you go in December make sure and go to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party at the MK. It's a separate, "hard ticket" event which means the park will have a maximum of 10-15K people in the park (they close the park down to regular "day guests.") You might think 15K people is a lot but, when you consider MK can accomodate 80-90K people during high capacity times, you will realize that the Christmas party is relatively quite. If you do go, Mainstreet will be packed because of the parades and the special events there, but the rest of the park is very quite. Walk-ons on all the rides.

Have fun planning your next trip! :goodvibes

That's the very best time to go. It's not crowded, the weather is usually fantastic, the parks and the hotels are all decorated and the wait times are short.

We love going those first two weeks of Dec as well. We love those Christmas decorations. It is a wonderful way to start the Christmas season.
