Hey Everybody!

I think I want to give this a try! It sounds like fun and all the example pieces are great! So...I sign up for a letter and I make 6 of that letter. Is that it?! (I read through the first post, but after a full day of Goodwilling On Half Price Day, my brain is fried!

So then, what do I get...one of everything?

I'm so glad you are going to jump in and try out a swap. Please feel free to send me an email or pm anytime if you have questions along the way. Read ALL of the first post and it explains alot. I needed guidance and had lots of questions when I was just getting starting swapping and everyone is so helpful so you can just post your questions here or contact me.

The basic idea is that take a look at the possible open spots and figure out what you are interested in. As a "newbie" swapper you are limited to 2 groups for your first swap so that you don't get overwhelmed...kinda starting slow and testing the waters. Since these little letters are pretty fast and easy to make and aren't big kits with lots of pieces, IF you want to try out more than 2 groups I'd be okay with that. I just need to check with the mods first to be sure.

So say you want to sign up for Grp. 1b DisneyWorld. You would post that you want to sign up for that group and indicate which 2 letters that you want to make from the available ones. Say you choose letters Y and D. Then once the sign ups close Wed. morning you will double check that you're signed up for the correct groups and pm me your name, dis name, adddress, phone, email etc. that I'll keep on file. I'll send you my info. too. You can start making your pieces then. So (for example) Grp. 1b you'd make 6 Y's and 6 D's. Most people use their Cricut to cut the letter and the shadow. You will make it 2 inches in size (tall), make capital letters, and use papers/colors that represent your group. Sturdy cardstock for the shadow is recommended so that your letter is not going to get damaged in shipping. Then you embellish your letter(s) however you'd like. You will package up all of your letters according to the packaging/shipping directions in the first post and ship them to me. Be sure to put your own in there too--I held out my pieces in my very first swap...oops. When you get the swap returned to you in the mail you'll get all the letters everyone else made for the word DISNEYWORLD and you'll have a complete title.

There are photos on the first post with examples of the 2 inch letters and 4 inch letters as complete words so you can see.

So let me know what you're interested in. It sounds complicated, but it's sorta the same for every swap and once you learn the ropes you've got it down. I'm so happy that you want to join us. I loved getting to chat during the online crop!

I made a few changes to some of the groups below in order to combine/fill groups. Hope it's okay with everyone...let me know if not.

I added a 2 inch icon to groups 10 and 10a CASTLE so now everyone needs to make 7 instead of 6. This allowed me to fit in our 2 lonely swappers hanging out in a castle group by themselves...and filled the groups.

I combined groups for: TOONTOWN, AFRICA, & PARTNERS since they are shorter words. So now everyone will only have 1 letter they are responsible for in these groups instead of 2. I personally think it's alot easier to make the same letter a couple more times then be responisible for 2 totally different designs. Is this okay?

I also combined 2 groups into 1 For group 16 TREE OF LIFE. Everyone only needs to be responsible for 1 letter now instead of 2. I filled the group by me taking the word OF for my spot. I'll do them in the same color and weld the two letters together. I kinda think this would look better to have the altered letters stand out more for TREE LIFE. If this isn't okay with you...let me know.

Superbowl Sunday...DH watched the game while I cut away and the kids ran wild!
