I think Granny must have hit the last door in Journey with that shotgun blast ... if not I am going to toss out ...

My Storage ...

Cast Storage ...

Someone remember to put out the torches along World Showcase ... I have made sure everyone has fleece-lined ponchos in there hammocks;)

And yes Granny the other name is Dean Higgins :bounce:

...all I'm going to say is that I guessed that one of the doors said "Higgs"...I was joking...but now I see I was pretty close....I think i should get an AAQ...as well as credit for having my own door :)

BTW...I'll say the last door says either "dream" or "imagination" storage...

BTW...welcome back Tink...long time no see :)

I think I'll just grab a hammock...and have a nightime drink beforeI go off to slee...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

*Tink looks up grogily, there is wording from a text book visible on her cheek, it transfered when she fell asleep on it*

Ugh! Cram session for exam 2moro.....

Hi everyone :) Thanks for the welcome.

I'm gonna guess the last door says

Empty Storage (yet another shot in the dark...)

*Grabs a churro, hops into a hammock and reads more about Canadian History with her special mickey mouse reading light, but soon drifts off to sleep*

MickeyBabe >>> No not Cold Storage
I second Granny's "Idea Storage".

I just got back from WDW. Rode Imagination several times. One time there were 2 cast members going into a door on that side as we walked by. I even had a conversation with them. But I can't remember what the door said! "Idea Storage" makes sense, though.

Had a great time at WDW again this time ... in spite of sub-freezing temps.

But ... no more "Paging Mr. Morrow" on wedway? What's this "world" coming to!?

Eureka! 999,999 on Buzz 3 times in a row. I think I've finally figured it out.

After 25-30 trips, realized you don't have to climb over the shops to get to "O, Canada"! [Also reaffirmed that the weather's always perfect for a beavertail!]

DW rode ToT on last trip for 1st time. :) [DD is in school and couldn't be there to ride with me.]
DW rode ToT on this trip for last time!:( Never should've let her on the front row. At least she kept her eyes open a little on Goofy's Barnstormer!

Made top 10 in Millionaire both times. [Forgot to play along the first time! Duh!!]

Saw Trade Center flag.

Took time to drop by AK Lodge. Pretty nice. Might be worth using one of those nice offers that come along. Also checked out Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary.

Server at Akershus in Norway was working her last day. Been here a year. Hege should be back in Norway by now.

Finally enjoyed some stuff at AK. Had been disappointed in earlier trips. Watched pelican surgery.

Found out I don't need prior experience to land a job piloting a boat! [Retirement, here I come!]

AND I have to amend an earlier question I posted here. I had asked about the arranger for the Voices of Liberty [Derric Johnson]. I had never heard them sing anything by anyone else. This time they did a David Maddox arrangement. I asked and found out they have 2 other pieces they have done in the past that aren't Derric johnson pieces. Oh, well ... live and learn!

Oh, I took a good look in the guard's shak at the bridge to Liberty Square for the first time ever. Took a picture, of course.

Glad to see the thread's still threading. I can't go back and read everything that happened while I was away. [Commotion was a-brewin' just before I left for WDW.] So, I'll just figure it out as I go.

Welcome back Polk:wave: Sounds like a wonderful trip:) Good luck on your exams Tink:smooth:

I'm going to toss out an early morning softball while we wait for MBabe to confirm the last door in Journey.

What is the name of the film shown in France at Epcot?

Impressions de France is the film shown in the France pavillion in Epcot.

Who was the first sponsor of the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street in the MK?

Good morning all! And welcome back polk...thanks for the trip update!

Lisa...was the sponsor Borden?

Must.....have....caffeine!!

Marla...how nice of you to come into the Chalk Circle to extend this personal invitation to the PG thread posters and lurkers! :)

As for the game, I think we're waiting for Lisa and MBabe to confirm some answers. Rise and shine ladies! The game is afoot! :p

wdw4us2 >>> Who was the first sponsor of the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street in the MK?
Was it Sealtest? [Or maybe that was much later in life ... like me.]

A French beret AAQ to Lisa ... welcome back:wave:

I also believe it was Borden ... for some reason I remember seeing the cow icon at the ice cream parlor on my first visit to WDW in 1972 ...

yes I was a mere child.

Since Lisa and MBabe appear to be temporarily MIA, here's a morning softball:

What is the destination that Captain Nemo is attempting to take his guests to in the old "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" attraction?

Talk about a walk down memory lane ... or is that a swim, lol. Remember how those subs used to smell:earseek:

Granny was Capt. Nemo taking us to Atlantis?

I need to leave the chalk circle for a couple of hours... so if (and that is a BIG IF) I got that one right some one else please toss out a question:wave:

No Jen, he wasn't taking us to Atlantis.

And I actually never got to see the subs in action. My first trip to WDW was in 1998, so I missed out on all the old attractions (Horizons, Captain EO, etc). But I feel like I've experience them anyway through all the great posts and remembrances here on this thread!

Granny - weren't we going to Volcania? I actually went on 20K shortly before it closed. I remember thinking that the idea was always cool, the stings moving the fish around were kinda cheesy. :) By then they had come so far that 20K was really dated. Still miss the subs though.

-Kim

;) apparently after all those years of travelling Capt. Nemo took a wrong turn and ended up in the boneyard. ;)

Next time he should use a map to get there.

hehe.

Someone please pass me some hot chocolate and some turtle fudge!

I always thought the 20K subs were taking us under the ice at the North Pole....but it's been so long since I was on them, my memory is probably faulty....

OK...off on a caffiene quest...hard to wake up this morning...

I will go with ozzel and say Vulcania, if it follows the movie.

I also agree great concept but poor exexution. It would be nice to see a second generation 20 k leagues attraction.

Kim....a soggy AAQ to you....Captain Nemo was indeed trying to take us to his underwater lair at Vulcania!!

Higgs...Carpe....no need to look further for hot drinks. MBabe stocked the CC Magic Thermos bottles early this morning!!

Edit note: Jwill...you get a nice pat on the back for seconding Kim. And I agree that Disney does need some kind of underwater adventure ride. With all the technology, it seems that they could create an underwater virtual environment (kind of like they did for the hydrolators, but on a larger scale).

Of course, the VOTLM does put the audience "under da sea"! :p

Good Morning...yep I think it's still morning.... :sunny:

No to all of the great guesses on that last door in JIYI :p

Think hard... it is connected in some way to the institute and the other doors....

Higgs... I like the description of your door but I have only one card to give out... but I do have a handy dandy Mickey Pencil for your creativity :)

Lisa...I'll agree with the other players... I believe Borden was the first sponsor of the Ice Cram Parlor.

Took my seven rolls of film to be developed What fun, I can hardly wait to relive our trip :bounce:
