And the final Cruisin' AAQ card to James....yes, they were also called the Discovery River Taxis. That's a lot of names for a ride that only lasted a year!!

AAQ's to pintrader, 1Hour and James for that extinct attraction.

Now on to MK's stumper. If I can recap, we know it's in DAK park.

It's not in or near:

Pangani Forest Trail
Maharajah Jungle trek
Conservation Station
Camp Minnie/Mickey
Entrance area

Also, Harambe Village has been guessed and not rejected (yet).
:p

So I'll guess that it's in Dinoland...near Primeval Hurl!! :p

Wow James you NEVER cease to amaze me with the info you and Linda have stored in those Disney vaults of yours:
But the songs:
Medley of Heigh Ho," "Whistle While You Work," were all done by Snow White and her Seven dwarfs
"When You Wish Upon A Star" were all done by
"Hi Diddle Dee Dee." were all done by
"Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf" were all done by
"I'm Wishing" were all done by
"The Silly Song" were all done by
"All In The Golden Afternoon" were all done by
"The Three Caballeros" were all done by
"Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" were all done by
"Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" were all done by
"Mickey Mouse Club Alma Mater" were all done by
There was a spotlighted character of group of characters for each tune done.

Are you doing this by memory or do you have the world's best collection of crib notes???

Bottled water ... check ... candles ... check ... eggs... check ... bread check... Now on to more important things:earseek: What to wear as my second outfit for the post moat portion of the party. Granny do you have enough of the offical CC towels and robes in stock? MK I was tempted to buy some candy bars for instant energy but my willpower won out:)

MK is it near the Kali River Rapids/Falls ... I can never remember the name of that attraction:crazy:

Mk - How about the FOTLK?

Flights of wonder?

Discovery Island?

Tarzan Rocks?

Granny nails it! It's right across from Primeval Hurl near the old cars. Something for you all to look for on your next visit. :p

You're up Granny....

And Jen, we don't go to AK for long, my DH loves the pulled pork sandwiches at Flame Tree and I love PW, so we do those 2 things then head out.

I have an interesting question:

What boat was destoryed in an acident in 1980?

RU

Did one of the riverboats that plies the Rivers of America sink?

MK ... we have never had a meal in AK or AKL:( I think I am going to have to work on DH on that little issue:p

RU - Was it the Admiral Joe Fowler? I believe it was damaged while in drydock while being refitted.

Am I right in narrowing this down to...
in 1980 only MK was open so it had to be either a resort ferry or T&TC ferry

A TOOOOOOOOOOOOT AAQ to 1Houraway for the correct answer. The original steamship was the Admiral Joe Fowler and begun it's service on Oct 2, 1971 and was forcably retired in 1980.

The ship was going into drydock for routine rehab when the crane lifting her slipped and the boat crashed destroying the hull. They decided to retire the boat (doh - you think.)

Bonus Question:
What happened to the whistle from the Admiral Joe Fowler?

RU

They gave it to Granny to use to round us up when we stray too far from the CC:earseek:

Seriously, did they move it over to the Empress Lily?

RU - Just a guess on the whistle question...

I'll say it is currently being used at Donald's boat in Toontown!?

and to keep things rolling....

On El Rio Del Tiempo ride there is a small flower boat floating next to the carousel - What is the name of this boat?

Good Luck!

The whistle is on The Walt Disney World Railroad steam engine #4 the Roy O. Disney.

An All-Aboarrrrrrrrd AAQ card to James D. The whistle has been moved to the Roy O Disney train. Next time you are there, listen, you can tell it a different pitch then the rest.

And a couple more steamboat questions:

1. We now have the Liberty Belle. What was her original name?
2. What does the Liberty Belle carry from the Admiral Joe Fowler?
3. And since DisneyJen mentioned the Empress Lily - whatever happened to her?

RU

Ru... I'll take a gander at those...

1. The Liberty Belle was formerly the Richard F. Irvine.
2. Admiral Joe Fowler' whistle?
3. Empress Lily became Fulton's Crab House! :p

:smooth:

I'll second Mbabe on 1 and 3. But not 2!

Number 2 - I'll say it has a life ring from Admiral Joe Fowler!

2 Ahoy Matey AAQs to the fabulous MBabe for 2 of 3 correct answers. The Richard F Irvine became the Liberty Belle and the Empress Lily is now Fultons.

And a giant life saving ring AAQ to 1houraway for knowing that the life preserver from the Admiral Joe Fowler is now on the Liberty Belle for good luck. (Would you want a good luck charm from a boat that challenged gravity and lost?)

1Houraway - great question on El Rio de Tiempo. I will make a wild guess: Amigos?

RU

Thank you RU! No it is not Amigos.

It is a first name - in spanish of course.

1 Hour...... Uh.... That is a "dark" ride.... I can't be held responsible for knowing what's inside ;).... but I'll toss out a guess of Jose' :teeth:

:smooth:

Jen.... Did you make the PS arrangements for V&As? ;)
