Throwing out a AAQ to keep things rolling.......

What company sponsered DL Tiki Birds from 1964-1973?

SCRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The Dreaded Black Monorail of the Semantics Police pulls up the the CC

Attention Parks Game Players...we have returned to issue a friendly reminder that all questions issued in the CC are to be WDW related only...since the above question is related to the theme park known as Disneyland...we cannot allow that question here...As an aside...the SP are ashamed to admit they do not know the answer...but we would guess Kikkoman or Dole if we had to guess...
We will not take any action this time...contrary to belief...we do not like tossing people in our Black Monorail...
That is all...you may now continue with the game

SCRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The Dreaded Black Monorail leaves the CC in a cloud of dust...

Whoa...MG...got lucky there...the SP spared you a ride in the DBM...:)

BTW...was the answer Dole?

WOW !!!! I can't believe I did that, I'll use the excuse of leaving for WDW in less then a day! :o Hopefully the driver of the BM will understand. Trust me it WON'T happen again!:teeth:

By the way the answer is United Airlines.

So, are there any open questions, or have we cried "EMU" one too many times? Speaking of the monorail .....
How much does it cost Disney to build a mile of monorail?

Kathryn, I'll have to ask you to sit this one out, since you are pre-armed with the answer. I know because you said, "Hey, that would make a good trivia question!" It was subtle, but I pick up on these things!

Hey everyone, I'll guess $50,000 per mile of monorail. I wonder how much it cost the SP to build enough monorail track to be able to pull up to every single place in WDW..... Well, I'm glad I wasn't here when they stopped by, I've never had to visit from the SP and frankly I don't want to, they are pretty creepy. (please don't take this as insulting an officer!)

Still no correct guesses on the monorail. Actually, I am hoping that I am not rubbing the SP the wrong way with a monorail question. While technically not a theme park attraction, it is my DDs favorite ride at WDW.

Leigh Ann....I'm sure that your monorail question is fine....we've had many monorail questions here. And besides, the PGSP ride around in one so they're very lenient on monorail questions.

Distriv....I've been in the Black Monorail...no problem at all, though I was fortunate enough to be tossed in there with MBabe! :)

I'll guess that it costs $250,000 for every mile of monorail track?

Gee, when's the last time they added monorail track? I'm thinking that number is going to be pretty outdated?

Granny, I believe this is the cost in current dollars, as explained to Pintrader and me two weeks ago on our Illuminations cruise by our captain. It is the reason that Disney is hesitant to expand the current monorail system.

Did the Black Monorail serve Whiparitas when you and MBabe were trapped on it? If so, the ride suddenly doesn't sound so dreadful!

Oh, and $250,000 per mile is incorrect.

Leigh Ann....I think we're going to need those too high/too low clues on these numbers questions!

Uh, no whiparitas in the PGSP DBM...sorry! Lots of handcuffs though!

Okay, I'll guess $170,000 per mile of monorail track!:)

I have it on good authority that the Dreaded Black Monorail does not use a "conventional" track...modern teleportation technology allows the SP to move the DBM wherever the SP need to go...:p

As for conventional monorail track...I'll say $1 million/mile....

Okay, Granny, I'll be helpful. The answer is between your guess of $250,000 and Ben's guess of $5,000,000. If anyone is interested in a shotgun, I refuse to accept 4,750,000 answers in a single shotgun. I have to have my standards.

Thanks Leigh Ann!!!

How about a nice, even, $1,000,000 per mile?

And Higgs sneaks in with the correct answer while I wasn't looking. That is correct. The current cost to build monorail track is One Meeeeeeellion Dollars per mile!

"Please stand clear of the AAQ card being awarded to Higgs."

Edited to say: Hey, quit sneaking in with the answers! Honorable Mention to DisneyBen.

LOL...every once and a while, I do sneak in there with a good answer...:)

Anyway...now a new question...hmmmm...

OK...
What do these WDW attractions have in common...
The Country Bear Jamboree, Splash Mountain, Muppetvision, and Playhouse Disney?

Good luck...:p

lacool...I'm going to give you a "close enough" AAQ on that one...I was looking for the fact that all the bears were talking bears...but that answer is good enough for me :p

You're up...

I was wondering why you left Pooh off the list!

In Minnie's Country House, she keeps her paintbrushes in an old coffee can. What brand of coffee is it?
