Was it the Enchanted Tiki Room? I just can't get that tune out of my head:lmao:
Nope, Tropical Serenade, as it was known originally, opened on Oct. 1, 1971. The attraction I'm thinking of opened on Oct. 3, 1971, and still has the same name today.
Sandy, I changed my screename back in Jan. so they'd be the same across the boards!

Was it...Pirates of the Caribbean?

Oh no, now I have the POC tune bouncing around with the "Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room"...Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Tiki Room for Me (maybe a padded Tiki Room!)

Hmmmm....I don't think it was PotC. When WDW opened, people complained that it wasn't there, so they had to hurry up and build it. If I remember correctly, the imagineers thought that people wouldn't be interested in a ride that is based in the Caribbean since it is so close. It was much more of a fantasy in California. Anywho....my guess is for the Swiss Family Treehouse. I thought it was open on the first, but I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time!

However, the idea of "...a Tiki Room for me..." does crack me up! :lmao:

Nope, Jungle Cruise and Swiss Family Treehouse were two of the first three Adventureland attractions.
Pirates of the Caribbean wasn't even planned for Walt Disney World, but they changed their mind, and it opened in Dec. 1973, exactly seven years after the passing of Walt Disney.

HINT: Fantasyland

Hello all, I haven't stopped by in months. I think I know this one though....

It's Peter Pan's Flight!

You would expect Tink to know this one, right?
Yes, it was Peter Pan's Flight!
Take it away to Neverland, Tinks_gang!

Better not call myself Tink if I didn't know that one...;)

Okay, here goes it.

What attraction, which premiered in Disneyland and was an original ride at the opening of Walt Disney World, was Walt Disney rumored never to have rode? And do you know why this rumor exists?

Oh! I remember this. It was Dumbo, wasn't it? It's rumored that he never rode it because he was a Republican. And since Dumbo, being an elephant, was a symbol of the Democratic party, he never wanted to be seen "supporting" the party.

Right you are! :thumbsup2 A high flying AAQ to you~

an elephant is the symbol of the Republican party. a donkey is the symbol of the democrats. i think you have the story backwards

Oh my gosh...I didn't even notice that! Oops! Thanks for the correction!

How many torches surround the World Showcase lagoon, and what do they symbolize?

i think there are 11 and they symbolize each Nation?? but i could be wrong

Okay.. my dad informed me that they represent 100 years so the 19 around the lagoon equal 1900 and there is now actually 20 of them including the big one in the middle representing the millenium.

Right you are Kimmy! The 19 torches surrounding the World Showcase each symbolize a century, so the first 1,900 years of the modern calendar. The globe in the middle of the World Showcase lagoon, the 20th torch, symbolizes the millenium. A historical AAQ to you, Kimmy!

Yeah I got it right!!
I don't have a question right now, so if someone would like to jump in FEEL FREE!

Okay No one jumped in so here is an easy one
