Parks @ Capacity on NYE? & a couple other ???'s

We are headed to Florida (YEAH!!!!!) for the bowl game. We will be able to spend 2 days at the parks which will be Sat & Sun the 31st & the 1st. We will be staying at the Dolphin which normally classifys you as 'on-site' for things like early entry, e-night - whatever they have.

My question is - do any of the parks normally fill to capacity on NYE? If so, and we are in one park do we dare to leave that park and go to one of the others? Or will we risk not being able to enter the next park?

We have fireworks schedule and both MK & Epcot look great - nice long days at both. But I'm concerned if we go to a 7:30 Illuminations at Epcot & then head to MK for 11:50 Fantasy in the Sky, we could have problems getting in.

Anyone give me info on this?

Also, how are the parks on New Years Day? Last year we were at Busch Gardens on NYD & it was peaceful until after lunch. I'm thinking Disney might be wild from the opening.

And a link to park hours for 1/1? I used to have that saved but I must have deleted it.

Disney resort guests are "guaranteed" entry to a theme park, even when some parks reach capacity, but that means "a theme park of their choice" not of your choice, so if you want to spend NYE at, say, the Magic Kingdom, you're best off getting there before they close entry, and staying there.

Epcot, by comparison, is unlikely to fill to capacity.

well, we would survive back at epcot - not a problem - just thinking that MK might be a nice way to end the night. We'll play it by ear.

They closed Epcot the year we were there, and fastpasses for Test Track were gone by 10 a.m. It was fun, though, but watch out for the surge out of the park after the first fireworks.
