parks before Miami cruise?

Hi All,
Has anyone done the parks for a few days before leaving from the Port of Miami? I'm trying to talk my husband into doing just a day or 2 at the parks before our April cruise and was wondering if any of you have made the trip from Orlando to Miami, and if so, how did you get up there and how much time did you give yourself? What was your embarkation time?>

We're doing this before our cruise in Nov. We plan on staying 2 days at WDW and then driving to Miami the AM of the cruise. Drive time should be about 3.5 hrs but we're planning on 4 and hope to leave resort about 7AM. Will let you know how it goes.
