I know I should know this, and maybe it's changed, but I can't find it on the DVC website... can a DVC member park for free at the theme parks? Resorts that you're not staying at? TIA

DVC Member - no
DVC Member that is currently staying at a DVC resort (or Disney Hotel for that matter) - Yes for parks
AP Holder - yes for parks
To park at a resort where you are not staying, you generally will need an Advance Dining Reservation at a restaurant there.

There's no free parking benefit that comes with your DVC membership. You get free parking at theme parks by being a registered guest of a Disney resort - doesn't matter if it's DVC or non-DVC, or if you're paying with points or cash. If you're currently staying at a Disney resort, you park for free at Disney parks.

Resort parking gets a little more complicated. No Disney-owned WDW resort charges for use of the self-parking lot. Some resorts offer valet parking for a fee. Resorts that aren't close to theme parks (values, moderates, some DVC) are usually fine with non-guests using the lots for limited periods of time, if you want to shop, dine, or use recreational facilities. All resorts frown on non-guests using their lots for theme-park parking.

Deluxes and DVCs that are close to theme parks (Magic Kingdom and Epcot area resorts) can be VERY strict about non-guests parking in their lot, because so many want to park there and use Disney transportation to get to a theme park, to save money or for convenience.
