How secure is the parking at port? We are considering driving:scared::crazy2:from Michigan.

We have driven from Michigan multiple times and have always parked at the port. Have not experienced any issues.

port parking is safe ... port lots are only open when ships are loading/unloading. Outside of this time, locked up tight.

and can also recommend Park N Cruise and Park Port Canaveral (each minutes from the terminal) as safe and secure

I've been using Park N Cruise for several years.

We are just a couple weeks back from our second cruise. If you go to portcanaveral.com and navigate to cruise directions and parking it will tell you the rates. We parked in the garage on the third level and were right where we needed to be to go through security and into the terminal. It's great to have your car protected from the weather and the peace of mind of knowing it's right there when you get off the ship is worth the extra cost.

An added benefit this last time. I realized after getting into our stateroom that I forgot my light jacket. I had plenty of time to get off the ship and get my jacket from my car!

We've parked in the parkade at the terminal for all our cruises with no issues. We were on the inside, third level for Hurricane Matthew and only got some sea spray on our car. No hail or debris damage. :)

Put your mind at ease. We always park at the terminal and it is safe. About 4 or 5 cruises ago I inadvertently left my driver side
window open when I parked in the terminal. Upon returning after the cruise, I found a note on my windshield from Security with a phone # to
call in case I found anything missing from the car. Good to know they patrol and keep a watchful eye.

Bon Voyage.

We are planning to park at Park N Cruise, our PAT is 12:30, what time would you suggest we get to the parking lot?

depends on the day of the week, or more specifically what the 'port load' is for the day

some days DCL is the only ship in port and the parking places are easy to get in/out of

some days there are 4 BIG ships turning around and then these places, and the rental car places, and the port in general can be a MESS!

you can check here: https://www.portcanaveral.com/PortCanaveral/media/Cruise-Assets/FY2017/Master-Cruise-Schedule.pdf

on a one or two ship day I'd give it an hour ... but IMO arriving LATER is the best way to avoid the crowds and pushing ....
